The 2013 Fed Cup (also known as the 2013 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas for sponsorship purposes) was the 51st edition of the most important tournament between national teams in women's tennis. The draw took place on 6 June 2012 in Paris, France. The final took place at the Tennis Club Cagliari in Cagliari, Italy on 1–2 November. The home and three time champions Italy defeated the fourth-seeded Russia, to win their fourth title. 2012 Fed Cup
The 2012 Fed Cup (also known as the 2012 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas for sponsorship purposes) was the 50th edition of the most important tournament between national teams in women's tennis. The draw took place on 17 July 2011 in Kobe, Japan. The final took place at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic on 3–4 November. The home and defending champions Czech Republic defeated the first-finalists Serbia, to win their seventh title and equal the record for second-most titles won by a country since the competition's beginning. Czech Republic was the only country except United States and Australia to hold both Davis Cup and Fed Cup at the same time. The Czechs did the same in 2012. Petra Kvitová and Tomáš Berdych also scored Hopman Cup victory at the same year. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the governing body of world tennis, wheelchair tennis, and beach tennis. Delray Beach Tennis Center
Delray Beach Tennis Center is a tennis center in Delray Beach, Florida. Built in 1992, the stadium (part of the tennis center) currently holds 8,200 spectators. It currently hosts the Delray Beach Open. It has hosted Fed Cup and Davis Cup matches. In 2006, the Palm Beach Phantoms indoor football team planned on playing there, which would have made the Tennis Center the first outdoor facility to host the normally indoor sporting event. However, no agreement was made with the team, which forced the Phantoms to play all of its games on the road. The team folded after the 2006 season with a record of 1–6.
