2013 DFL-Supercup
The 2013 DFL-Supercup was the fourth DFL-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. It featured Bayern Munich, winners of the 2012–13 Bundesliga and the 2012–13 DFB-Pokal, and, as a result of the former winning both competitions, the Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund. The match was hosted by Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park on 27 July 2013. The match took place two months after the same teams played each other in the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final. Borussia Dortmund won the match 4–2. It was their fourth triumph in the Supercup, which equalled the then-record held by Bayern Munich. 1996 DFB-Supercup
The 1996 DFB-Supercup, known as the Panasonic DFB-Supercup for sponsorship purposes, was the tenth DFL-Supercup, DFB-Supercup, an annual Association football, football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. It was the last DFB-Supercup, with the competition replaced by a DFL-Ligapokal, DFB-Ligapokal which ran from 1997 to 2007. The supercup returned in 2010 DFL-Supercup, 2010, now run by the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL). The match was played at the Carl-Benz-Stadion, Mannheim, and contested by 1995–96 Bundesliga, league champions Borussia Dortmund and 1995–96 DFB-Pokal, cup winners 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Kevin Großkreutz
Kevin Großkreutz (born 19 July 1988) is a German former professional footballer who plays as a right back and winger for TuS Bövinghausen in the amateur-level Oberliga Westfalen. He made his senior debut at Rot Weiss Ahlen, and in 2009 joined Borussia Dortmund of the Bundesliga, making 233 appearances for them across all competitions and scoring 27 goals. His honours during his time at the Westfalenstadion included two consecutive Bundesliga titles, including a double in 2012. In summer 2015, after featuring sparingly at Borussia Dortmund, Großkreutz moved to Süper Lig club Galatasaray where he did not make a single appearance in half a season. The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. Roman Weidenfeller
Roman Weidenfeller (born 6 August 1980) is a German former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Bundesliga clubs 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Borussia Dortmund, as well as the German national team. Weidenfeller spent 16 seasons with Dortmund and managed to win both the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal twice. Marco Reus (; born 31 May 1989) is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. The 2010 DFL-Supercup marked the return of the DFL-Supercup, German Supercup, an annual association football, football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. The competition had not been played in an official capacity since 1996, and was replaced by the DFB Liga-Pokal from 1997 to 2007. For the previous two years, an unofficial super cup had been contested.
