1996 DFB-Supercup
The 1996 DFB-Supercup, known as the Panasonic DFB-Supercup for sponsorship purposes, was the tenth DFL-Supercup, DFB-Supercup, an annual Association football, football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. It was the last DFB-Supercup, with the competition replaced by a DFL-Ligapokal, DFB-Ligapokal which ran from 1997 to 2007. The supercup returned in 2010 DFL-Supercup, 2010, now run by the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL). The match was played at the Carl-Benz-Stadion, Mannheim, and contested by 1995–96 Bundesliga, league champions Borussia Dortmund and 1995–96 DFB-Pokal, cup winners 1. FC Kaiserslautern. Dortmund won their second consecutive title, their third in total. Deutsche Fußball Liga
The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH, or simply Deutsche Fußball Liga ("German Football League"), and often shortened to DFL, is a wholly owned subsidiary of ''Die Liga – Fußballverband''. The DFL is responsible for entire operating business of the ''Ligaverband'', including the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga leagues. The chairman of supervisory board of the DFL is Reinhard Rauball. Michael Zorc
Michael Zorc (born 25 August 1962) is a German former footballer who played as a central midfielder. Nicknamed "Susi" in his early days because of his long hair, he spent his entire career with Borussia Dortmund, appearing in 572 competitive matches in 17 seasons and scoring 159 goals. Subsequently, Zorc went on to serve as the club's sporting director. Club career Born in Dortmund, Zorc played 463 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund (a club record) between 1981 and 1998, also being for many years the team's captain. Vladimir Vladimirovich But (russian: Владимир Владимирович Бут; born 7 September 1977) is a Russian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He works as director of sports for FC Chernomorets Novorossiysk. Stéphane Chapuisat (born 28 June 1969) is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a striker. A prolific goalscorer for both club and country (for which he appeared more than 100 times), he spent most of his career with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. He represented Switzerland at the 1994 World Cup and two European Championships. Chapuisat is currently the sporting director of BSC Young Boys. Andreas Möller
Andreas Möller (born 2 September 1967) is a German former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He is the head of the youth department at Eintracht Frankfurt. Club career At club level, Möller played for Eintracht Frankfurt (1985–87, 1990–92, 2003–04), Borussia Dortmund (1988–90, 1994–2000), Juventus (1992–94), and Schalke 04 (2000–03). Stefan Reuter (born 16 October 1966) is a German football executive and former player who played as a defender or midfielder. He is the general manager of Bundesliga club FC Augsburg. During his playing career, he was included in the West Germany national team which won the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the Germany which won UEFA Euro 1996. Olaf Marschall
Olaf Marschall (born 19 March 1966) is a German former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Marschall's career started in the GDR at BSG Chemie Torgau and was soon transferred to 1. FC Lok Leipzig. There, he rose to stardom, becoming one of the most prolific scorers in the East German top-flight in the turbulent late 1980s and collecting caps for the East German football squad. The 1988 DFB-Supercup was the second DFB-Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal competitions. The match was played at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt, and contested by league champions Werder Bremen and cup winners Eintracht Frankfurt. Bremen won the match 2–0 for their first title.
