2012 Swedish Golf Tour (women)
The 2012 Swedish Golf Tour, known as the Nordea Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 27th season of the Swedish Golf Tour, a series of professional golf tournaments for women held in Sweden and Norway. A number of the tournaments also featured on the 2012 LET Access Series (LETAS). Schedule The season consisted of 10 tournaments played between May and September, where one event was held in Norway. Isabella Ramsay
Isabella Ramsay (born 12 July 1987) is a Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour. Career Ramsay turned professional in 2006 and joined the Swedish Golf Tour (SGT) in 2007. She won her first two SGT events in 2012, and joined the LET Access Series in 2013. In the 2014 LET Access Series, she won the Kristianstad Ã…hus Ladies PGA Open and the Royal Belgian Golf Federation LETAS Trophy, and graduated to the Ladies European Tour as one of the top-5 on the Order of Merit along with Daisy Nielsen, Lina Boqvist, Tonje Daffinrud and Emma Westin. Cajsa Persson (born 28 September 1993) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. Persson was born in Jönköping, Sweden. She played college golf in the United States for four years at Iowa State University with the Iowa State Cyclones. She turned professional in 2016 and earned her 2017 Ladies European Tour card after finishing 11th at the Lalla Aicha Tour Final Qualifying in Morocco. Lina Boqvist (born 25 May 1991) is a Swedish professional golfer and member of the Ladies European Tour. In 2021 she won the Aramco Team Series – New York teamed with Jessica Korda and Karolin Lampert. She was runner-up at the 2019 Lalla Meryem Cup. Career Boqvist was born in 1991 in Gislaved, Småland, and learned the game at Isaberg Golf Club, home to the Gisvaled Ladies Open on the 1989 Ladies European Tour. As a junior, she collected multiple titles on the Skandia Tour and the Junior Masters Invitational series. Boqvist turned professional ahead of the 2011 season and joined the Swedish Golf Tour, where she won the 2012 Swedish Matchplay Championship. ÖsterÃ¥ker Golf Club (ÖsterÃ¥kers Golfklubb) is a golf club situated in Ã…kersberga 20 km northeast of Stockholm, Sweden. It has hosted the Compaq Open on the Ladies European Tour. History Opened in 1988 and co-designed by Sven Tumba and Jan Sederholm, the club was one of few in Sweden ambitious enough to build 36 holes at the outset. It hosted national and international tournaments throughout the 1990s. By 2015 the club worried it could not keep pace with the new championship courses built in the Stockholm metropolitan area. The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship). The Ahlsell Trophy is a women's professional golf tournament on the Swedish Golf Tour, first played in 2011. It is held near Jönköping, Sweden.
