2012 Philippine Peace Cup
The 2012 Philippine Peace Cup was the inaugural edition of the tournament, four-nation international football competition organized by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). It was originally slated for October 12–16 but the PFF moved it to September 25–29 to give way to the participation of local side Loyola Meralco Sparks in the 2012 Singapore Cup. ABS-CBN covered the games on Studio 23. The tournament was due to be the third annual Long Teng Cup, however, the organizers, the Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA), withdrew from staging the 2012 edition and requested the PFF to host it. The PFF then renamed it as the Paulino Alcántara Cup, after Filipino–Spanish football legend who played for FC Barcelona. Denis Wolf
Denis Santos Wolf (born 15 January 1983) is a former professional footballer who played as a forward. Born in Hanover, Germany, he has played for Hannover 96 and Fortuna Düsseldorf. Through his Filipino-born mother, he represented the Philippines national team in the 2012 AFF Championship. Club career Wolf started as a youth at Germania Grasdorf and then moved to Hannover 96 in 2001. After playing for the youth team, he mainly played for the reserve side in the Oberliga. In 2003, he managed to break into the first team making four appearances and scored one goal in the Bundesliga within the first half of the 2003–04 season. In early June 2005, Wolf joined Fortuna Düsseldorf on loan for the 2005–06 season after only four seasons with Hannover. He would end up signing for the club permanently in July 2006. Artificial Turf
Artificial turf is a surface of synthetic fibers made to look like natural grass. It is most often used in arenas for sports that were originally or are normally played on grass. However, it is now being used on residential lawns and commercial applications as well. The main reason is maintenanceartificial turf stands up to heavy use, such as in sports, and requires no irrigation or trimming. Domed, covered, and partially covered stadiums may require artificial turf because of the difficulty of getting grass enough sunlight to stay healthy. The Panaad Stadium (), also sometimes spelled as Pana-ad, named after the park where the stadium is situated in, is a multi-purpose stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod, Philippines.
