2012 Minnesota Lynx Season
The 2012 WNBA season is the 14th season for the Minnesota Lynx of the Women's National Basketball Association. The Lynx were the defending WNBA Champions, having won the 2011 WNBA Finals over the Atlanta Dream. The Lynx qualified for the playoffs, and finished with the best record in the WNBA. On October 7, 2012, the Lynx won their second straight WNBA Western Conference championship, earning a spot in the 2012 WNBA finals. Cheryl Reeve
Cheryl Reeve (born September 20, 1966) is an American basketball head coach and President of Basketball Operations for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. Reeve has coached the Lynx to four league championships. In WNBA history, she has the highest winning percentage, she has won the most games of any female coach, and she has won the most postseason games of any coach. Reeve was named the WNBA Coach of the Year in 2011, 2016, and 2020 and WNBA Basketball Executive of the Year in 2019. Early life and education Reeve grew up in Washington Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey and graduated from Washington Township High School in 1984, where she was part of the school's first team to make the state finals. Nika Barič
Nika Barič (born 2 September 1992) is a Slovenian basketball player who currently plays for Nika Syktyvkar. She was selected in the second round of the 2012 WNBA draft (20th overall) by the Minnesota Lynx but was waived in May 2016 without ever having played for the team. The Gonzaga Bulldogs () (also known unofficially as the Zags) are the intercollegiate athletic teams representing Gonzaga University, located in Spokane, Washington, United States. The Green Bay Phoenix, previously known as the UW–Green Bay Phoenix and UWGB Phoenix, are the athletic teams of the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. Julie Wojta
Julie Nicole Wojta (born April 9, 1989) is an American basketball player for Angers 49 of the Liga Femenina (LFB). Wojta played college basketball at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where she was a Wade Trophy and Wooden Award finalist, Horizon League tournament MVP, and a second-team All-America pick. Wojta was the first Green Bay resident to be selected in a WNBA draught and to be included on an Associated Press All-American team. Damiris Dantas Do Amaral
Damiris Dantas do Amaral (born November 17, 1992) is a Brazilian basketball player. Together with the junior Brazilian team, she won the bronze medal at the Under-19 World Championship in 2011, Chile, and was named Most Valuable Player at that tournament.
