2011–12 A-1 League
The 2011–12 A-1 League ( hr, A-1 liga 2011./12.) was the 21st season of the A-1 League, the highest professional basketball league in Croatia. The first half of the season consisted of 11 teams and 110-game regular season (20 games for each of the 11 teams) began on Friday, October 8, 2011 and ended on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. The second half of the season consisted of 3 teams from ABA League and the best 5 teams from first half of the season. Playoffs started on May 15, 2012 and ended on June 5. Cibona won its 17th title. HT Premijer Liga
The Hrvatski Telekom Premijer liga ( en, Hrvatski Telekom Premier League, ), also known as HT Premijer liga or simply Premijer liga, is the first tier level men's professional basketball league in Croatia. It began in 1991, following the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia and therefore the Yugoslav League, and is organized by the Croatian Basketball Federation. The HT Premijer liga, which is played under FIBA rules, currently consists of 12 teams. The most successful club is KK Cibona with 19 championship titles. History Prior to 1991, clubs from Croatia played in the Yugoslav First Federal League. From the inaugural season in 1946, three Croatian clubs won 15 national championships in total; Zadar (six titles), Split (six titles), and Cibona (three titles). KK Dubrovnik
Košarkaški klub Dubrovnik ( en, Dubrovnik Basketball Club) is a professional basketball club based in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It competes in the second Croatian division. History The club was founded in 1946 and played all most of its history in lower Yugoslavian and then Croatian leagues. Slavonski Brod
Slavonski Brod (), commonly shortened to simply Brod, is a city in eastern Croatia, near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Being one of the principal cities in the historical regions of Slavonia and Posavina, Slavonski Brod was the 7th largest city in the country, with a population of 59,141 at the 2011 census. Arena Gripe
Gripe Sports Center ( hr, Športski centar Gripe) is a sports complex located in the Gripe city district of Split, Croatia. It features four indoor halls, and is used to host many sports, as well as concerts. The seating capacity of the small indoor hall is 3,500, and of the biggest one is 6,000. History The sports complex was built in the late 1970s, for the 1979 Mediterranean Games. The sports complex has been used as the home venues of the KK Split basketball team, and the MNK Split Tommy futsal team.
