Denis Ramilyevich Galimzyanov ( tt-Cyrl, Денис Рамил улы Галимҗанов, russian: Денис Рамильевич Галимзянов; born 7 March 1987 in Yekaterinburg, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union) is a former Russian racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI ProTeam . He obtained a major victory in the classic Paris–Brussels in 2011, where he imposed himself in a massive sprint after 218.5 kilometers of racing. Doping On 16 April 2012, Galimzyanov was provisionally suspended by the UCI, after testing positive for EPO in an out-of-competition drugs test in March. He admitted the charge the next day and said he took sole responsibility and had acted without the knowledge of his team. In December, it was announced that Galimzyanov was suspended for two years, starting retroactively on 13 April 2012. He did not return to the peloton after completion of the ban. Yauheni Hutarovich (born 29 November 1983) is a Belarusian former road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2007 and 2016 for the , , and teams. He currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Career In the 2009 Tour de France, Hutarovich was the lanterne rouge, or the last placed overall rider in the general classification (GC). On stage 2 of the 2010 Vuelta a España, Hutarovich surprised everyone as he jumped from the wheel of Mark Cavendish to claim his first Grand Tour stage win, besting other top sprinters such as Tyler Farrar and Alessandro Petacchi. Hutarovich left at the end of the 2012 season, and joined on a two-year contract from the 2013 season onwards. In September 2014 announced that they had signed Hutarovich on a one-year deal for 2015. 2010 Scheldeprijs
The 2010 Scheldeprijs cycling race took place on 7 April 2010. It was the 98th time the Scheldeprijs was run. The peloton took on a high pace from the start, completing 50 kilometers during the first hour. After 56 kilometres 8 cyclists formed a breakaway: Jonas Ljungblad ( Omega Pharma–Lotto), Mathew Hayman (Team Sky), Jackson Stewart (BMC Racing Team), David Boucher (Landbouwkrediet), Arnoud van Groen ( Vacansoleil), Cyril Lemoine ( Saur–Sojasun), Gregory Joseph ( Topsport Vlaanderen–Mercator) and Niko Eeckhout (An Post–Sean Kelly). The group obtained a lead of up to six minutes over the peloton. After 168 kilometres Jackson Stewart was dropped from the lead group and with 192 kilometres gone, only Mathew Hayman, Niko Eeckhout, Jonas Ljungblad, Arnoud van Groen and Cyril Lemoine were left although they were all caught just a few kilometres further. Scheldeprijs
The Scheldeprijs is a cycling race in Flanders and the Netherlands which starts in Terneuzen, crosses the Scheldt River, and finishes in Schoten. Until 2018 it was held entirely in Belgium. The event, ranked as a 1.HC race on the UCI Europe Tour, features mostly sprinters on its roll of honour, as it is held on all-flat roads over roughly 200 kilometres. First held in 1907, it is the oldest still-existing cycling event in Flanders, notably six years older than the Tour of Flanders '' monument race''. The race had its only interruptions during both World Wars and celebrated its 100th edition in 2012. German sprinter Marcel Kittel holds the record with five wins. Robbie McEwen (born 24 June 1972) is an Australian former professional road cyclist. McEwen is a three-time winner of the Tour de France points classification and, at the peak of his career, was considered the world's fastest sprinter. He last rode for on the UCI World Tour. Alexander Kristoff (born 5 July 1987) is a Norwegian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2007 and 2011. Theo Bos (born 22 August 1983) is a Dutch former professional road and track cyclist. An Olympic silver medalist and five-time world champion, he is the brother of Olympic medalist in speed skating Jan Bos.
