2010 Scheldeprijs
The 2010 Scheldeprijs cycling race took place on 7 April 2010. It was the 98th time the Scheldeprijs was run. The peloton took on a high pace from the start, completing 50 kilometers during the first hour. After 56 kilometres 8 cyclists formed a breakaway: Jonas Ljungblad ( Omega Pharma–Lotto), Mathew Hayman (Team Sky), Jackson Stewart (BMC Racing Team), David Boucher (Landbouwkrediet), Arnoud van Groen ( Vacansoleil), Cyril Lemoine ( Saur–Sojasun), Gregory Joseph ( Topsport Vlaanderen–Mercator) and Niko Eeckhout (An Post–Sean Kelly). The group obtained a lead of up to six minutes over the peloton. After 168 kilometres Jackson Stewart was dropped from the lead group and with 192 kilometres gone, only Mathew Hayman, Niko Eeckhout, Jonas Ljungblad, Arnoud van Groen and Cyril Lemoine were left although they were all caught just a few kilometres further. Saur–Sojasun
Sojasun was a French cycling team registered at UCI Professional Continental level. They were founded in 2009 as Besson Chaussures-Sojasun. The team rode BH bicycles. Their sponsor Sojasun is a company which manufactures soya-based foods. In 2012, the team received a wildcard invitation to the Tour de France, along with three other French-registered teams. The professional cycling team Sojasun will not be present in the professional peloton in 2014, after the team was unable to find a new title sponsor. Loyd Mondory
Lloyd Mondory (born 26 April 1982) is a French restaurateur and former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2015 for the team before he was suspended for four years for the use of erythropoietin (EPO). The biggest results of his career included victory in the 2008 Grand Prix of Aargau Canton, stage wins in the Étoile de Bessèges, the Vuelta a Burgos and the Paris–Corrèze and second place in a stage of the 2008 Vuelta a España. In March 2015, it was announced that Mondory had tested positive for erythropoietin (EPO) in an out-of-competition test taken on 17 February. On 30 October 2015, the UCI announced that Mondory was suspended until 9 March 2019. Jimmy Casper (born 28 May 1978 in Montdidier, Somme) is a French retired road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 1998 and 2012. He is best known for winning stage 1 of 2006 Tour de France. Career He has on two occasions finished in last place in the General classification of the Tour de France, thereby 'winning' the red lantern. Casper was suspended from his team, Agritubel because he tested positive for corticosteroid, an asthma drug that is banned unless the user has a medical exemption for its use, during the 2008 Tour de France by the Agence Française de Lutte contre le Dopage. The exemption had been renewed but with a previous asthma medication than the one prescribed and used during the Tour de France. Wouter Weylandt
Wouter Weylandt (27 September 1984 – 9 May 2011) was a Belgian professional cyclist for UCI ProTeam and later for . His first major win was the 17th stage of the 2008 Vuelta a España. He also won the third stage of the 2010 Giro d'Italia. He died in a crash during the third stage of the 2011 Giro d'Italia.
