Enrico Rossi (cyclist)
Enrico Rossi (born 5 May 1982) is an Italian former professional road racing cyclist, who retired in 2014. Career Rossi was born in Cesena. His younger sister is the cyclocross rider Vania Rossi. Rossi was sacked by his team in 2010 after being implicated in a drug-dealing ring also involving his sister. In 2014, Rossi courted further controversy when he was involved in a fight with Spanish cyclist Vicente García de Mateos at the 2014 Volta a Portugal. Cesena
Cesena (; rgn, Cisêna) is a city and ''comune'' in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, served by Autostrada A14, and located near the Apennine Mountains, about from the Adriatic Sea. Dwars door Drenthe ( en, Across Drenthe) was an elite men's road bicycle racing event held annually in the Drenthe, Netherlands, and sanctioned by the Royal Dutch Cycling Union. It took place between 2010 and 2015. From 2010, the men's event was UCI 1.1 rated and was part of the UCI Europe Tour. In 2011, the race was held as part of an expanded 2.1 rated Ronde van Drenthe, in which Dwars door Drenthe was held the day before the Ronde itself. The Scheldeprijs is a cycling race in Flanders and the Netherlands which starts in Terneuzen, crosses the Scheldt River, and finishes in Schoten. Until 2018 it was held entirely in Belgium. The event, ranked as a 1.HC race on the UCI Europe Tour, features mostly sprinters on its roll of honour, as it is held on all-flat roads over roughly 200 kilometres. The Brussels Cycling Classic (known until June 2013 as Paris–Brussels) is a semi classic European bicycle race, one of the oldest races on the international calendar. History Paris–Brussels was first run on 12 August 1893 as an amateur event over a distance of 397 km, Belgian Andre Henry took the inaugural victory from compatriot Charles Delbecque with France's Fernand Augenault coming in third. The race did not return to the racing calendar until 1906 when it was run as a two-day event on 3 and 4 June. The first stage of this 1906 event was run from the Paris suburb of Villiers-sur-Marne to Reims over 152 km and was won by France's Maurice Bardonneau. Memorial Rik Van Steenbergen (previously GP Rik Van Steenbergen) is a single-day road bicycle race held annually in September in Arendonk, Belgium. The race, paying respect to the famous Belgian rider of the 1940s and 1950s, quickly gained importance and since 2005, it is a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The race was canceled in 2013 and again in 2014 because the organizers were unable to raise sufficient funding and subsequently disappeared permanently from the calendar before being revived for 2019.
