2011 Rally De Portugal
The 2011 Rally de Portugal was the third round of the 2011 World Rally Championship season. It was the season's first European event held on gravel roads. The rally took place over 24–27 March, beginning with a super special stage in the city of Lisbon. The rally was also the second round of the Production World Rally Championship and the inaugural event of the WRC Academy. Sébastien Ogier won the event for the second consecutive year, to take his third WRC victory. Ogier had taken the lead midway through the second leg of the rally and held on to his lead to win by 31.8 seconds from teammate Sébastien Loeb, with Ford's Jari-Matti Latvala rounding out the podium in third place. Championship leader Mikko Hirvonen ended the rally in fourth place, which coupled with power stage points for Loeb, created a tie between the two at the head of the drivers' championship. The 2011 World Rally Championship was the 39th season of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA World Rally Championship in automobile racing. The season consisted of 13 rallies, beginning with 2011 Rally Sweden, Rally Sweden on 10 February and ended with 2011 Wales Rally GB, Wales Rally GB on 13 November. Julien Ingrassia (born 26 November 1979) is a retired French rally co-driver. Working with Sébastien Ogier, he became World Rally Champion in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 with Volkswagen Motorsport, 2017 and 2018 with M-Sport World Rally Team, and in 2020 and 2021 with Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT. Rally career While starting his professional life as a salesman, Julien Ingrassia discovered rallying and made his debut as a codriver in 2002 in France's Critérium des Cévennes. Henning Solberg
Henning Solberg (born 8 January 1973) is a Norwegian rally and rallycross driver. Together with his female co-driver Ilka Minor, he currently competes in the World Rally Championship (WRC) with cars of M-Sport. Solberg is the older brother of the 2003 FIA World Rally Champion Petter Solberg and through his Swedish spouse Maud the stepfather of Swedish rally driver Pontus Tidemand. Federico Villagra (born May 21, 1969) is an Argentine rally driver competing in the Argentine Rally Championship. He had previously competed in the World Rally Championship for the Munchi's Ford World Rally Team. His co-driver is Diego Curletto. Chris Patterson (born 6 September 1968) is an Irish professional rally racing co-driver. Career Patterson competed first time in the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 1993 and has won the 2006 Production World Rally Championship with Nasser Al-Attiyah. Petter Solberg
Petter Solberg (born 18 November 1974) is a Norwegian former professional rally and rallycross driver. Solberg debuted in the World Rally Championship in 1998 and was signed by the Ford factory team in 1999. The following year, Solberg started his successful partnership with the Subaru World Rally Team. Scott Martin (born 6 November 1981) is a British rallying co-driver who competes in the FIA World Rally Championship. Biography Martin began his rallying career in 2001 co-driving at a national level in the UK. Matthew Wilson (born 29 January 1987) is a British rally driver from Cockermouth in Cumbria. He is the son of M-Sport boss and former World Rally Championship driver Malcolm Wilson. Jarmo Lehtinen (born 3 January 1969) is a rally co-driver from Finland. He was the co-driver to former World Rally Championship driver Mikko Hirvonen and have scored 15 WRC wins competing under Ford World Rally Team and Citroën Total.
