2011 Prime Yalta Rally
The Prime Yalta Rally 2011, was the 4th round of the 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) season. The fourteen stage asphalt rally took place over 2–4 June 2011. Introduction Yalta was the base for the first ever visit of the IRC to Ukraine. The rally started with two short stages on the afternoon of Thursday 2 June prior to the ceremonial start on the Yalta waterfront. Fifteen of the top IRC competitors contested the rally, including Bryan Bouffier, Juho Hänninen, and Tour de Corse winner Thierry Neuville. Results Juho Hänninen won his second IRC rally of the season, having taken the lead towards the end of the second day of the rally, and held an advantage all the way to the end. His victory gave him the championship lead by three points ahead of Jan Kopecký. Kopecký finished the rally in third position, behind Bryan Bouffier. 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge Season
The 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge was the sixth season of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. The season consisted of twelve rounds and started on 19 January with the Monte Carlo Rally. The season ended on 5 November, at the Cyprus Rally. The series introduced a new points system for the 2011 season, applying the FIA points system – 25–18–15–12–10–8–6–4–2–1 – which had been introduced to other championships within the last twelve months. Within the new system, the final two events in Scotland and Cyprus offered more points via a scoring coefficient. Scotland offered crews points on a 1.5 coefficient, meaning that the winner earned 37.5 points, second place 27 points, third place 22.5 points and so on. In Cyprus, double points were offered, meaning the winner received 50 points, second place 36, third place 30 and so forth. Andreas Mikkelsen
Andreas Mikkelsen (born 22 June 1989) is a Norwegian rally driver. He is currently competing in the World Rally Championship-2 for Toksport World Rally Team. He previously drove for the factory teams of Volkswagen, Citroën and Hyundai in the World Rally Championship, finishing third in the drivers' standings in 2014, 2015 and 2016. His current co-driver is Torstein Eriksen. He is a two-time Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion, having finished first in 2011 and 2012. In 2021, Mikkelsen became the drivers' champion in both the WRC-2 and the European Rally Championship. Career Mikkelsen has a broad background in sports. Renault Clio R3
The Renault Clio () is a supermini car (B-segment), produced by French automobile manufacturer Renault. It was launched in 1990, and entered its fifth generation in 2019. Patrik Sandell
Patrik Sandell (born April 21, 1982) is a rally driver from Sweden. Sandell won the Swedish Junior Championship in 2004 and the Swedish Group N3 Championship in 2005. In 2006, he won the Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) title driving for Renault. In 2008, Sandell contested both the JWRC and the Production World Rally Championship (PWRC). Sandell joined Olsbergs MSE to drive a Ford Fiesta at the Global RallyCross Championship in 2013. He finished 6th in the standings, scoring two podiums. Martin Järveoja (; born 18 August 1987) is an Estonian rally co-driver. He is currently teamed with Ott Tänak and is competing for Hyundai in the World Rally Championship. Karl Kruuda (born 31 December 1992) is an Estonian rally driver. Rally career Kruuda debuted in the World Rally Championship at the 2010 Jordan Rally, finishing in 22nd place. Toni Gardemeister (born 31 March 1975) is a Finnish professional rally driver in the World Rally Championship. After previously competing for SEAT's, Mitsubishi's, Škoda's and Ford's factory teams, as well as for privateer teams, he joined the Suzuki World Rally Team for the 2008 season. Career Early From the outset of his career Gardemeister had shown himself as a driver of some promise. Guy Wilks
Guy Wilks (born 22 January 1981) is a British rally driver. Wilks started rallying at the age of 19, but currently drives for JRM in the FIA World Rallycross Championship. In 2011 Wilks drove for Peugeot UK in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. In 2012 he did not compete. Ola Fløene
Ola Fløene (born February 1, 1969) is a Norwegian rally co-driver in the World Rally Championship. He is currently contesting WRC2 alongside long-time colleague Andreas Mikkelsen with Toksport WRT. In the past Ola has co-driven with a number of Norwegians and Swedes including Pontus Tidemand, Mads Østberg and Henning Solberg.
