2011 Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship
The 2011 Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship was the sixth staging of the Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 2006. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 11 December 2010. The championship began on 7 May 2011 and ended on 5 November 2011. Newcestown and Glanmire left the championship after their respective promotion and relegation to different grades. Macroom and Naomh Abán joined the championship. Grenagh were relegated from the championship after being beaten in a playoff by Newmarket. The final was played on 16 October 2011 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Newmarket and Clyda Rovers. Newmarket won the final by 3-06 to 1-10 to claim their first championship title in the grade. It was Clyda Rovers' third successive final defeat. Cork Intermediate Football Championship
The Cork Intermediate A Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as Bon Secours Cork County Intermediate A Football Championship and abbreviated to the Cork IAFC) is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the second tier intermediate clubs in the county of Cork in Ireland. It is the fourth tier overall in the entire Cork football championship system. The Cork Intermediate Championship was introduced in 1909 as a competition that would bridge the gap between the senior grade and the junior grade. At the time of its creation it was the second tier of Cork football. In its current format, the Cork Intermediate Championship begins in mid summer. The 16 participating club teams are drawn into four groups of four teams and play each other in a round-robin system. Páirc Uí Rinn (), also known as Páirc Chríostóir Uí Rinn, is a Gaelic Athletic Association stadium located between Ballinlough and Ballintemple in Cork. It was previously known as Flower Lodge and was used as an association football stadium. During the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, Flower Lodge served as the home ground of three League of Ireland clubs – Cork Hibernians, Albert Rovers and Cork City. It also hosted friendly matches featuring Manchester United, Liverpool and the Republic of Ireland national football team. Carrigaline GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Carrigaline in County Cork, Ireland. The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams in competitions organised by Cork County Board. The club is part of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork.
