2011 ACC Twenty20 Cup
The 2011 ACC Twenty20 Cup was played between 3–11 December 2011 in Nepal. The tournament acted as a qualifying tournament for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier. The tournament was won by defending champions Afghanistan who defeated Hong Kong in the final to win the tournament for a third time. Afghanistan had already qualified for the World Twenty20 Qualifier as an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council with One Day International status. They will be joined in the qualifying event by Hong Kong, Oman and Nepal. Asian Cricket Council
The Asian Cricket Council also known as ACC is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 26 member associations. Jay Shah is the current president of Asian Cricket Council. History The council was formed as the Asian Cricket Conference in New Delhi, India, on 19 September 1983, with the original members being Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Asghar Afghan
Mohammad Asghar Afghan ( ps, محمد اصغر افغان), is a former Afghan cricketer and former captain of the Afghanistan national cricket team. Asghar is a right-handed batsman and a medium-fast bowler. In May 2018, he was named as the captain of Afghanistan, for their inaugural Test match, played against India. He made his Test debut for Afghanistan, against India, on 14 June 2018. Tshering Dorji (cricketer)
Tshering Dorji aka ''Tshagay'' (born 11 September 1995) is a Bhutanese professional footballer who plays for Thimphu City FC as a midfielder. Dorji is best known for the late goal he scored against Sri Lanka, which gave Bhutan their first ever win in the World Cup qualification. As of March 2015, he was studying at the Royal Thimphu College as a first year student. Zamir Khan
Zamir Khan (born 16 March 1992) is an Afghan cricketer. Khan is a left-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. Khan was a member of Afghanistan's squad for the 2011 ACC Twenty20 Cup in Nepal. It was during this tournament that he made his debut for Afghanistan against Oman. He made five further appearances during the tournament, including in the final against Hong Kong, which Afghanistan won. He was later selected as part of Afghanistan's squad for the 2012 World Twenty20 Qualifier in Dubai. His debut in Twenty20 debut came during this tournament, against Denmark. Shabbir Noori (born 23 February 1992) is an Afghan cricketer. Noori is a right-handed batsman and right-arm off break bowler who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team. Career Noori represented the Afghanistan U-19 cricket team in 2007, making his debut against Malaysia in the ACC Under-19 Elite Cup. Mohammad Nasim Baras (also Nasim Khan; born 30 March 1993) is an Afghan cricketer. Baras is a left-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. Baras made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs in the Faysal Bank Twenty-20 Cup against Faisalabad Wolves. He made a further appearance in that competition against Multan Tigers. Mohammad Shahzad Mohammadi ( ps, ; born 10 January 1988) is an Afghan cricketer. He a right-handed opening batsman who also plays as a wicketkeeper. He made his international debut for Afghanistan in August 2009. Shahzad was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first ever Test match, against India, in June 2018. Wicket-keeper
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises.
