2010 Norwegian Third Division
The 2010 season of the ''3. divisjon'', the fourth highest association football league for men in Norway. Between 22 and 26 games (depending on group size) were played in 24 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Twelve teams were promoted to the 2. divisjon through playoffs. Unusually many teams were relegated this season, since the 3. divisjon was streamlined to only 12 groups beginning in 2011. Association Football
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. Traditionally, the game has been played over two 45 minute halves, for a total match time of 90 minutes. With an estimated 250 million players active in over 200 countries, it is considered the world's most popular sport. Bøler IF
Bøler Idrettsforening is a Norwegian sports club from Bøler, Østensjø, Oslo. It has sections for association football, team handball, track and field and tennis. It formerly had a section for Nordic skiing. It was founded on 24 October 1958. The club colors are yellow and blue. The women's football team was a part of the inaugural Norwegian Premier League for women in 1987. The team stayed here until 1997, when relegation took place. A women's team currently does not exist. The men's football team currently plays in the Third Division, the fourth tier of Norwegian football. Its current stint in the Third Division runs from 2006. Ullern Idrettsforening is a Norwegian multi-sports club from Ullern, Oslo. It has sections for association football, team handball, basketball, bandy and cheerleading. The club colors are white and red. General history The club was founded in 1971 as a merger of the multi-sports club ''Liull'', the multi-sports club ''Bestum IF'' (founded 1914), the gymnastics club ''Lilleaker TF'' and ''Ullern Basket'' (founded 1956). ''Liull'' was in turn a merger of the skiing club ''Ullern SK'' (founded 1909) and ''Lilleaker IF'' (founded 1913). The club counts 1909 as its founding year. Grorud IL
Grorud Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from Grorud borough, Oslo. It has sections for association football, skiing, gymnastics and tennis. General history As a sports club based in Grorud, it had two predecessor clubs in ''Grorud IF'', which existed from 1904 to 1905, and ''Grorud TIF'', which existed from 1908 to 1914. Grorud IL was finally founded on 18 March 1918. At the time, Grorud was still located in Aker municipality. The district was incorporated into Oslo in 1948 and tied to the city centre with the Grorud Line of the Oslo Metro in 1966. The club finished construction of its football field in 1926, and its ski jumping hill Rannkollen in 1928. In 1932 the football field was covered with gravel, which allowed the practice of skating sports during the winter. Hasle-Løren IL
Hasle-Løren Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from the neighborhoods Hasle and Løren in Oslo. It was founded in 1911, and has sections for association football, bandy, ice hockey, skiing, and cycling. Ice hockey Some of its greatest success was achieved by the ice hockey team. The team plays its home games in Lørenhallen, which holds 1,000 spectators. As of 2007, it is in the 1. divisjon - the second highest Norwegian ice hockey competition. The club has a rich history in Norwegian Ice Hockey. It was the Norway champion in 1972, 1974, 1976. It won the 1. divisjon league in the 1971/72, 1972/73 and 1974/75 seasons. Øvrevoll Hosle Idrettslag is a Norway, Norwegian multi-sports club from eastern Bærum. Organization and history Sections are bandy, baseball, association football, ski jumping, cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing, and handball. Bygdø Monolitten IL
Bygdø Monolitten Idrettslag is a Norway, Norwegian sports club from Bygdøy and Skøyen, Frogner, Oslo. It has sections for association football, team handball, floorball and badminton. History The club was founded on 29 May 1914 under the name ''Djerv''. The name was changed to ''Skøien BK'' in 1915 and to ''Skøien IF'' as the club started to participate in non-ball games. However the name was changed to ''Bygdø BK'', "Bygdø Ball Club", in 1927. The club added Nordic skiing in 1923, track and field in 1929 and bandy in 1934. All these were later abolished. The club got its own sports field with gravel surface in 1934, and a grass pitch in 1947. The grass pitch was changed to artificial turf in 2007, the same year that the name Ferd Stadion was inaugurated. The club colors are red and blue.
