Øvrevoll Hosle Idrettslag is a Norway, Norwegian multi-sports club from eastern Bærum. Organization and history Sections are bandy, baseball, association football, ski jumping, cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing, and handball. The club covers the areas Øvrevoll, Voll, Akershus, Voll, Grav, Bærum, Grav, parts of Bekkestua and Jar, Norway, Jar as well as Hosle. The club colors are white. The club was founded on 26 September 2007 as a merger of ''Øvrevoll BK'' and ''Hosle IL''. Hosle IL was founded in 1947 as ''Grav og Voll IL''. The name was changed to ''IL Bæring'' and later Hosle when Bæring merged with ''Hosletoppen''. Øvrevoll BK was founded on 26 April 1955 as ''Øvrevollkameratene''. Øvrevoll BK
Øvrevoll is a district in eastern Bærum, Norway. Geography and history The district Øvrevoll was built around the farm Øvre Vold, which stems from the separation of Vold farm into two farms; Øvre and Nedre (Upper and Lower) Vold in 1721. Today, Øvrevoll and Voll are sometimes referred to as one district. Øvrevoll borders Jar in the south, Grav in the west, Østerås, Eiksmarka and Grini in the north and Voll in the east. The farm had one croft under it; Lindeberg. In 1809, Øvre Vold farm was designated as the seat of the district stipendiary magistrate, but he chose to live at Øvre Stabæk instead. In 1826 the farm was registered as having 165 decares of crop, three horses, eleven cattle and twelve sheep. It had various owners until it was bought by dentist Einar Hirsch in 1910. Bjørn Einar Romøren (born 1 April 1981) is a Norwegian former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2001 to 2014. His career highlights include eight individual World Cup wins, two ski flying world records, and a team bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Karoline Dyhre Breivang
Karoline Charlotte Dyhre Breivang (born 10 May 1980) is a retired Norwegian handball player. She is a double Olympic gold medalist, a world champion and five time European champion. She is known for her versality on the court and for being a good defensive player. Career Club career Breivang started playing handball at the age of 4 at Stabæk. Aged 15 she joined Hosle IL. After three years she returned to Stabæk, where she made her senior debut at the age of 18. In 2005 she left Stabæk and joined Larvik HK. Here she won the Norwegian championship 11 times in row from 2005-06 to 2016-17. In 2008 she won the EHF Cup Winners' Cup and in 2011 she won the Champions League. Siri Nordby
Siri Kristine Nordby (born 4 August 1978) is a Norwegian football defender who played over fifteen years for Røa in Norway's Toppserien league. She also played for the Norway women's national football team. Career Nordby started her career at Hosle IL, but quickly moved to neighbors Røa when she had to play for an all-girls team. Nordby has played with Røa almost her entire life, aside from the few years she played in the United States at the University of South Florida, and has tallied 250 appearances for the club. She is Røa's set-piece specialist (free kicks, corners and penalty kicks) as well as the vice-captain, and in 2008 captained Røa to "the Double" of Norway's league and Cup titles.
