2010 Desafio Internacional das Estrelas was the sixth edition of Desafio Internacional das Estrelas (''International Challenge of the Stars'') with Michael Schumacher not defending his title. Races scheduled for 18–19 December at Arena Sapiens Park in Florianópolis- SC. The event was won by Lucas di Grassi after he won Race 1 and retired in Race 2. Desafio Internacional Das Estrelas
The Desafio Internacional das Estrelas ("International Challenge of the Stars" in Portuguese) is an annual charity kart race organised by Felipe Massa since 2005. The first edition was held on Kartódromo Toca da Coruja on Bauru. For 2006 at 2008 the challenge was moved to Kartódromo dos Ingleses on Florianópolis and since 2009 at Arena Sapiens Park, also at Florianópolis. Notably, top level Brazilian drivers have competed in the event, such as Felipe Massa, Bruno Senna, Rubens Barrichello, Tony Kanaan, Hélio Castroneves, Lucas di Grassi and Nelson Piquet Jr. Also Brazilian drivers on the national championship such as Stock Car Brasil and Fórmula Truck. In addition, Brazilian motorcycle racer Alex Barros has competed. Alexandre Sarnes Negrão
Alexandre Sarnes Negrão (born October 14, 1985), better known as Xande Negrão and nicknamed ''Xandinho'', is a Brazilian entrepreneur and race car driver. He raced in the first three seasons of the GP2 Series, all with the Piquet Sports team, having won the Formula Three Sudamericana championship in 2004. Career Negrão's career started in karting in 1998, where he continued to race until he joined the Piquet team in Formula Three Sudamericana for the 2003 season. The team had been put together primarily to help Nelson Piquet Jr.'s run through the lower series, his goal to make Formula One, but nevertheless Negrão would stay with team in 2004. Ricardo Maurício (born January 7, 1979) is a Brazilian auto racing, racing driver. He currently drives in the Stock Car Brasil series, which he won in 2008, 2013 and 2020. Prior to this he raced in several European open-wheel racing, single-seater formulae, winning the Spanish Formula Three Championship and recording podium finishes in International Formula 3000. Marcos Giffoni de Melo Gomes (born July 26, 1984) is a Brazilian professional racing driver currently set to compete in the Stock Car Brasil series for Cavaleiro Sports, where he won the 2015 championship. Marcos is the son of four-time Stock Car champion Paulo Gomes (racing driver), Paulo Gomes and brother of the also racing driver Pedro Gomes. Racing career On July 5, 2009 he won the fifth round of the season at Autódromo José Carlos Pace, Interlagos by Action Power, winning their fourth win in the category. Max Wilson (born August 22, 1972 in Hamburg, West Germany) is a racing driver of Brazilian parentage. Racing career Junior formulae Wilson started his motor racing career in 1985 in go-karts. He moved into single-seaters in 1993, when he was offered a ride in the Brazilian Formula Ford Championship. In 1994 he moved to the Brazilian Formula Chevrolet Championship and finished 2nd overall, behind Felipe Giaffone. Alberto "Betinho" Valério ( Ipatinga, 6 September 1985) is a Brazilian racing driver. Career Formula Three Valerio drove in the Formula Three Sudamericana championship from 2003 to 2005, winning the title in his final year of the category.
