2009–10 Pakistan Premier League
The 2009–10 season Pakistan Premier League was the 6th season of Pakistan Premier League and 55th season of Pakistan football league. A total of 14 teams competed in the league, with Khan Research Laboratories unseating the two-time defending champions WAPDA. The league started on 25 July and ended on 13 December. The race for the title went to the final day of the season with Khan Research Laboratoires and Pakistan Army tied on 57 points. Khan Research Laboratories won their final game defeating Pakistan Airlines 1–0, which meant Pakistan Army has to defeat Karachi Port Trust by at least the 11 goals to win the league. Pakistan Army defeated Karachi Port Trust 2–1, tying both teams on 60 points although Khan Research Laboratories won the league on goal difference, as Khan Research Laboratories finished the season with 10 goals ahead of Pakistan Army; Khan Research Laboratories finished with goal difference of +32 as compared to Pakistan Army's +22. The Pakistan Premier League (PPL; ur, پاکستان پریمیئر لیگ) is a Pakistani professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Pakistan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Football Federation League. Since inception of the Pakistan Premier League in 2004, four clubs have won the title: Khan Research Laboratories (5) WAPDA (4), Pakistan Army (2) and K-Electric (1). Afghan FC Chaman
Afghan Football Club Chaman or simply Afghan F.C. is a Pakistani professional football club based in Chaman, Balochistan, a border city near Afghanistan. The club last competed in the Pakistan Premier League. In 2000, Afghan FC Chaman played in an invitation tour at Kandahar Stadium against a local team from Kandahar. During the third and final game of the tour, Taliban religious police burst into the ground and stopped the game in the middle. The Taliban arrested twelve of the Afghan Chaman's players and had their heads shaved as punishment for wearing shorts, including Muhammad Essa. Nushki (Urdu , ) is a town and district in Balochistan, Pakistan. It lies in a plain south-west of Quetta, at an elevation of above sea level. From Nushki, the flat Balochistan desert stretches away northward and westward to the Helmand River. History Nushki was a starting off point for the British exploration of Central Asia.
