2008–09 Austrian Football Bundesliga
The Austrian Football Bundesliga 2008–09 was the 97th season of top-tier football in Austria. The competition is officially called ''tipp3-Bundesliga powered by T-Mobile'', named after the Austrian betting company tipp3 and the Austrian branch of German mobile phone company T-Mobile. The season started on 8 July 2008 with Sturm Graz beating defending champions Rapid Vienna by 3–1. The 36th and last round of matches took place on 31 May 2009. Team changes from last season Fußballclub Wacker Innsbruck were relegated after finishing the 2007–08 season in 10th and last place. They were replaced by First League champions Kapfenberger SV. Austrian Football Bundesliga
The Austrian Football Bundesliga (german: Österreichische Fußball-Bundesliga, italic=no , "Austrian Football Federal League"), also known as Admiral Bundesliga for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Austrian football league system. The competition decides the Austrian national football champions, as well the country's entrants for the various European cups run by UEFA. Since Austria stayed in sixteenth place in the UEFA association coefficient rankings at the end of the 2015–16 season, the league gained its first spot for the UEFA Champions League for the 2016-2017 season. The Austrian Bundesliga, which began in the 1974–75 season, has been a separate registered association since 1 December 1991. It has been won the most by the two Viennese giants Austria Wien, who were national champions 24 times, and Rapid Wien, who won the national title 32 times. Linz ( , ; cs, Linec) is the capital of Upper Austria and third-largest city in Austria. In the north of the country, it is on the Danube south of the Czech border. Franz Fekete Stadium
Franz Fekete Stadion is a multipurpose stadium in Kapfenberg, Austria. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Kapfenberger SV. The stadium was constructed in 1950, and currently holds 10,000 people. It was named in 2001 after long time Mayor Franz Fekete (1921-2009). Kapfenberg , with around 22,609 inhabitants, is the third largest city in Styria, Austria, near Bruck an der Mur. The town's landmark is Burg Oberkapfenberg. Franz Horr Stadium
The Franz Horr Stadium, formally known as Generali Arena for sponsorship reasons and Viola Park for international matches, is a football stadium in the south of Vienna, Austria. It has been the home ground of FK Austria Wien since 1973. The stadium was built in 1925 as the new home of Czech immigrants' club SK Slovan and had a capacity of 10,850. Named after another Czech football club which owned the ground, the stadium was called České srdce ("Czech heart") ground. Largely destroyed during World War II, each of the four stands has been reconstructed several times since. Altach is a municipality in the district of Feldkirch, in the westernmost Austrian state of Vorarlberg.
