2007–08 Macedonian First Football League
The 2007–08 Macedonian First League was the 16th season of the Macedonian First Football League, the highest football league of Macedonia. The first matches of the season were played on 5 August 2007. Pobeda were the defending champions, having won their second title. The 2007-08 champions were Rabotnichki who won their third title. Promotion and relegation 1 Bashkimi was withdraw from the First League due to financial reasons. The first 22 matchdays will consist of a regular double round-robin schedule. The league standings at this point will then be used to determine the games for the last 11 matchdays. FK Rabotnički
FK Rabotnichki ( mk, ФК Работнички) or more commonly Rabotnički (old transliteration) and Rabotnicki is a football club that plays at the Toshe Proeski Arena in Skopje, North Macedonia. They currently compete in the Macedonian First League. History FK Rabotnichki was founded in 1937 as SK Radnički Skoplje. It is widely regarded as the ‘railway football club’. It started competing in the 1938–39 Second League of the Skoplje Football Subassociation which finished 4th out of 5 teams. However the next season Radnički won the league with no defeats among 6 teams and with a goal difference of 45–6, thus earning promotion to the First League of the Skoplje Football Subassociation. The 2006–07 Macedonian Second Football League was the fifteenth season since its establishment. It began on 5 August 2006 and ended on 26 May 2007. Kumanovo
Kumanovo ( mk, Куманово ; also known by other alternative names) is a city in North Macedonia and the seat of Kumanovo Municipality, the largest municipality in the country. Kumanovo lies above sea level and is surrounded by the Karadag part of Skopska Crna Gora mountain on its western side, Gradištanska mountain on its southern side, and Mangovica and German mountain on the Eastern side. Skopje airport also serves Kumanovo. It has many historical sites. One of the most important sites is the 4,000-year-old megalithic astronomical observatory of Kokino, located northeast of Kumanovo and discovered in 2001. FK Sileks ( mk, ФК Силекс) is a football club based in Kratovo, North Macedonia who play in the Macedonian First League. History The club was founded in 1965. Sileks biggest accomplishment in 90s came in the Yugoslav Cup where they reached the quarter-final. It was a remarkable achievement considering they defeated both Sarajevo teams, FK Željezničar and FK Sarajevo in back to back rounds. KF Renova
KF Renova ( mk, ФК Ренова) is a Association football, football club based in the village of Džepčište, Tetovo Municipality, North Macedonia. They recently competed in the Macedonian First League. History FK Renova was founded in 2003 but was derived from the football school established in 2000. As a result of successful work in 2003, the people from Džepčište began to invest in this school of football. Since then, the football school was named Renova, after the Džepčište based manufacturing company, which invested the most to the club. Renova then merged with the Tetovo club FK Shkumbini and was initiated into the Macedonian Third League. In the club's first season, they came first in the league. KF Bashkimi (1947–2008)
KF Bashkimi ( mk, ФК Башкими) was a football club, which was played in the town of Kumanovo, North Macedonia. The club was dissolved before the 2008–09 Macedonian First League season, when they folded due to financial reasons. A successor club which claims rights to Bashkimi's honours and records was established in 2011 under the same name. However, they are not legally considered to be successors to the original Bashkimi and the two clubs' track records and honours are kept separate by the Football Federation of Macedonia. FK Metalurg ( mk, ФК Металург) is a football club from Skopje, North Macedonia. They are currently not playing in any of the four highest tiers of Macedonian football. History The club was founded in 1964. Metalurg has entered the Macedonian First League in the 1992–93 season and were relegated the same year. KF Vëllazërimi 77 ( mk, ФК братство 77) is a football club based in Kičevo, North Macedonia. They are currently not playing in any of the four highest tiers of Macedonian football. History KF Vëllazërimi entered in the Macedonian First League in the 2005–2006 season and they were the sensation of the league after their great start. But, after some economic problems a lot of the players left the team, however Vëllazërimi managed to stay in the league. The 2006–2007 season found Vëllazërimi with new financial problems and they finished 12th (last) in the league getting relegated. The relegation forced change at the top and the new club chairman was named Gani Arsllani.
