2007 Nationwide Tour
The 2007 Nationwide Tour season ran from January 25 to November 4. The season consisted of 32 official money golf tournaments; three of which were played outside the United States. The top 25 players on the year-end money list earned their PGA Tour card for 2008. Nick Flanagan earned his PGA Tour card by winning three tournaments on the season. He earned an immediate promotion to the PGA Tour after his third win at the Xerox Classic. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2007 season. Nick Flanagan
Nicholas Flanagan (born 13 June 1984) is an Australian professional golfer. Flanagan was born in Belmont, New South Wales. He won the 2003 U.S. Amateur, the first non-American winner since 1971. He was awarded the 2003 Australian Young Male Athlete of the Year. He turned professional in 2004. Flanagan currently plays on the Nationwide Tour. He achieved his first professional win at the 2005 Queensland Masters, which is part of the PGA Tour of Australasia's developmental series known as the Von Nida Tour. In 2007, Flanagan won back-to-back starts on the Nationwide Tour, the Henrico County Open and the BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs. A third win later that year at the Xerox Classic, gave Flanagan an automatic "battlefield promotion" to the PGA Tour. 2007 PGA Tour Of Australasia
The 2007 PGA Tour of Australasia was a series of men's professional golf events played mainly in Australia and New Zealand. The main tournaments on the PGA Tour of Australasia are played in the southern summer so they are split between the first and last months of the year. Jay Williamson
Justin Arch "Jay" Williamson IV (born February 7, 1967) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Williamson was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Trinity College and was a member of the Division III baseball and hockey teams. After graduating from Trinity College, he turned professional in 1990. Williamson has no PGA Tour victories, although he has finished second twice, both playoff losses – to Hunter Mahan at the 2007 Travelers Championship, and to Kenny Perry at the 2008 John Deere Classic. The Fort Smith Classic was a golf tournament on the Nationwide Tour. It is held each year at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It was the only annual PGA Tour event in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The 2010 purse was a record $525,000, with $94,500 going to the winner. The tournament was founded in 1998. Martin Laird
Martin Laird (born 29 December 1982) is a Scottish professional golfer, playing on the PGA Tour. He has won four PGA Tour events in his career, most recently the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in 2020. Until Russell Knox earned his card via the 2011 Nationwide Tour, Laird was the only Scottish player on the PGA Tour. Omar David Uresti (born August 3, 1968) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour. Early life Uresti was born in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated in 1991 with a degree in organizational communication. He turned professional immediately after graduating.
