2006 Bavarian Cup
The 2006 Bavarian Cup was the ninth edition of this competition, organised by the Bavarian Football Association (''BFV''), which was started in 1998. It ended with the TSG Thannhausen winning the competition. Together with the finalist, SpVgg Bayreuth, both clubs were qualified for the DFB Cup 2006-07. The competition is open to all senior men's football teams playing within the Bavarian football league system and the Bavarian clubs in the Regionalliga Süd (III). Rules & History The seven Bezirke in Bavaria each play their own cup competition which in turn used to function as a qualifying to the German Cup (DFB-Pokal). Since 1998 these seven cup-winners plus the losing finalist of the region that won the previous event advance to the newly introduced Bavarian Cup, the Toto-Pokal. Landesliga Bayern-Mitte
The Landesliga Bayern-Mitte ( en, State league Bavaria-Central) was the sixth tier of the German football league system in southern Bavaria. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the fifth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fourth tier. The winner of the Landesliga-Mitte automatically qualified for the Bayernliga, the runners-up needed to compete with the runners-up of the other four Landesligas and the 15th placed teams of the Bayernligas for another promotion spot. The league was disbanded in 2012, when the Regionalliga Bayern was introduced as the new fourth tier of the German league system in Bavaria. Below this league, the Bayernliga was expanded to two divisions while the number of state leagues grew from three to five divisions. Kickers Offenbach
Offenbacher Kickers, also known as Kickers Offenbach, is a German association football club in Offenbach am Main, Hesse. The club was founded on 27 May 1901 in the Rheinischer Hof restaurant by footballers who had left established local clubs including ''Melitia'', ''Teutonia'', ''Viktoria'', ''Germania'' and ''Neptun''. TSV Großbardorf
TSV Großbardorf is a German association football club from the city of Großbardorf, Bavaria. The footballers are part of a 602 member sports club that also has departments for bowling and table tennis. History The club made its first appearance in the Landesliga Bayern-Nord (V) in 1993 where they became a competitive side after the turn of the millennium. VfL Frohnlach is a German association football club from the municipality of Frohnlach in Ebersdorf bei Coburg, Bavaria. __TOC__ History The club was established as ''Sports Club Arminia Frohnlach'' in 1919 and, after a 1925 merger with ''Turnverein Frohnlach'', became ''Verein für Leibesübungen 1919 e. The SG Quelle Fürth is a German football club from the city of Fürth in Bavaria. History The club was formed as the football section of the athletics club TV 1860 Fürth on 1 June 1973. The club's name, SG Quelle, refers to the fact that it has a strong connection with the Quelle company and originated out of the company's still existing Sunday League team BSG Quelle Kickers. The Mittelfranken Cup (German: ''Mittelfränkischer Pokal'') was a domestic cup competition for the Bavarian Bezirk of Middle Franconia (German: ''Mittelfranken''), played until 2009. FC Memmingen is a German association football club based in Memmingen, Bavaria. History The team was formed on 30 May 1907 as the football department of the gymnastics club ''Memminger Turnvereins 1859'' and became independent in the fall of that year. The Schwaben Cup (German: ''Schwäbischer Pokal'') was a domestic cup competition in the Bavarian ''Regierungsbezirk'' of Swabia (German: ''Schwaben''), played from 1947 to 2009. Overview The competition was first played in 1947, before the reintroduction of the German Cup. With the introduction of the national cup competition, the Schwaben Cup also became a qualifying competition for it. The Schwaben Cup has been played annually since 1947 with the exception of 1956 and 1957, when it was not held. SV Schalding-Heining
The SV Schalding-Heining is a German association football club from the suburb of Schalding-Heining in the city of Passau, Bavaria. One of the club's main achievements is the fact that it was the first winner of the Bavarian Cup in 1998.
