2005 AFC President's Cup
The 2005 AFC President's Cup was the inaugural season of the AFC President's Cup, a competition for football clubs in countries categorized as "emerging nations" by the Asian Football Confederation. The eight teams that competed were split into two groups and played each other team in their group once. The winner of each group then played the runner up in the other group in the semifinals, and the winners of the semifinal matches played in the final match to determine the winner. There was no third place match. The games were played in May 2005 and were held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The S1 League ( si, එස්1 ලීගය; ta, எஸ்1 லீக்), or simply S1, also known as Sri Lanka Champions League, is the second tier division of the Sri Lankan football league system and was succeeded by the professional Sri Lanka Super League which serves as the first division. The 2004–05 Pakistan Premier League season was the inaugural season of Pakistan Premier League, top tier of Pakistani football. The season started on 28 May 2004 and concluded on 13 October 2004. Martyr's Memorial A-Division League ( Nepali: शहीद स्मारक ए- डिभिजन लिग; formerly known as the Kathmandu League Championship) is the top divisions of football in Nepal. Contested by 12 to 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the Martyr's Memorial B-Division League.
