Kyrgyzstan League
Kyrgyz Premier League ('' ky, Кыргыз Премьер Лигасы, Keurgeuz Premier Ligaseu'') is the division of professional football in Kyrgyzstan. It was created in 1992 after the Dissolution of the Soviet Union. The league is composed of eight teams. The most successful team is Dordoi Bishkek who have won the league thirteen times. The winner of the league earns a spot in the AFC Cup preliminary qualifying round, Asia's second highest club continental competition. The team with the worst record at the end of each season is demoted to the Kyrgyzstan League Second Level. Starting from the 2019 season, the league was rebranded as the Kyrgyz Premier League. Football Club Dordoi Bishkek ('' ky, Дордой Бишкек Футбол Клубу, Dordoj Bişkek Futbol Klubu'') is a Kyrgyz professional football club based in Bishkek, that competes in the Kyrgyz Premier League. Founded in 1997, the club is owned by "Dordoi" Association, the group of companies that also own Dordoi Bazaar in Bishkek. History The club was founded in 1997. Dordoi appointed Anarbek Ormombekov as their new manager in November 2015, firing him on 6 June 2016, due to poor results, with Ruslan Sydykov being appointed as manager until the end of the season. On 18 August 2016, Murat Dzhumakeev was appointed as acting head coach for Dordoi Bishkek's 2017 AFC Cup qualifiers, due to Ruslan Sydykov not having the required coaching qualifications for AFC competitions. Football Club Alga Bishkek ('' ky, Алга Бишкек Футбол Клубу, Alğa Bişkek Futbol Klubu'') is a Kyrgyz professional football club based in Bishkek, that competes in the Kyrgyz Premier League, the top flight of Football in Kyrgyzstan. The club plays its home games at Dynamo Stadion. History Alga Bishkek were established in Frunze during 1947, as FC Zenith Frunze. At the end of the 2005 season, the club, now called ''FC SKA-Shoro Bishkek'', folded.
