2002 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2002 Eisenhower Trophy took place 24–27 October on the Palm and Bunga Raya courses at Saujana Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was the 23rd World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 63 three-man teams. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team was due to play two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played on the Bunga Raya course on the third day and were due to play on the Palm course on the final day. After heavy rain and lightning on the final morning, a cut was introduced and only the leading 20 teams played the final round. Positions 21 to 63 were determined by scores after three rounds. The leading 33 teams had played their third round on the Bunga Raya course while the others played on the Palm course. Jeppe Pape Huldahl (born 7 February 1982) is a Danish professional golfer who currently plays on the Challenge Tour. Huldahl was born in Holstebro, and lives in Copenhagen. He turned professional in 2003 and finished 4th at European Tour's final qualifying school at the end of the year to obtain his tour card. He had limited success in his first year on the European Tour in 2004 and stepped down to play on the second-tier Challenge Tour for the following season. He had limited success there too, until the 2008 season, when he won his tour event at the 2008 Lexus Open. Camilo Villegas (; born 7 January 1982) is a Colombian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Early years Villegas was born in Medellín, Colombia, and took up golf as a child. James Lepp (born November 19, 1983) is a Canadian professional golfer and entrepreneur. Lepp was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia and attended high school at the Mennonite Educational Institute. He began his collegiate golf career at the University of Illinois. In 2005, he won the NCAA Division I Championship while playing for the University of Washington, the first Canadian male to do so.
