Alpha Ethniki
The Super League Greece 1 ( el, Ελληνική Σούπερ Λιγκ 1), or Super League 1, is the highest professional association football league in Greece. The league was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced ''Alpha Ethniki'' at the top of the Greek football league system. It consists of 14 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 26 games. As of May 2022, Super League Greece is ranked 15th in the UEFA ranking of leagues, based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Since the foundation of the first official Panhellenic Championship in 1927, only six clubs have won the title. The current champions are Olympiacos, based in Piraeus. A.P.O. Akratitos Ano Liosia ( el, Α.Π.Ο. Ακράτητος Άνω Λιοσίων) is a Greek football professional club from Ano Liosia, Athens, Greece. They currently play in the Alpha Division of the Football League championship, which is the third level of the Greek football pyramid. They maintain a quite strong academy of youngsters. History Akratitos spent their first years in relative obscurity, until they rose from the lower ranks to the top flight under the managership of Giannis Pathiakakis, who died on the pitch during a training session in 2002. The Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium () or Charilaou Ground (Γήπεδο Χαριλάου) is a football stadium in Thessaloniki, Greece. It was built in 1951 as the home stadium of Aris F.C. (Thessaloniki), one of the most popular football clubs in Greece. For many years, the ground's official name was ''Aris Stadium'', until it was renamed in honour of Kleanthis Vikelidis, a legendary player of Aris FC in the 1930s. However, most commonly referred to as "Charilaou Stadium", after the district in which it was built. Bernd Krauss (born 8 May 1957) is a German-Austrian retired football player and manager. His most recent spell he had as technical director and head coach of Tunisian club Étoile Sportive du Sahel in 2012. Club career Born in Dortmund, Krauss started his professional career at local outfit Borussia Dortmund but limited chances there made him move to Austrian Bundesliga side Rapid Wien in 1977. The move proved to be successful, winning the league title (twice) and the domestic cup. He only returned to Germany in 1983 to join Borussia Mönchengladbach where he finished his playing career and took up a coaching post. Yiannis Pathiakakis Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Ano Liosia, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home stadium of Akratitos. The stadium holds 5,000 and was built in 1965. Giorgos Paraschos
Georgios Paraschos ( el, Γεώργιος Παράσχος; born 23 August 1952) is a Greek professional football manager and former player. Playing career As a football player, he began his career from the youth academy of PAOK in 1967. He became a professional player in 1971 and played with the Kastoria team until 1985, making appearances for the club in the Alpha Ethniki. He had four caps for the Greece national football team. Managerial career As a coach, he started in 1985, but as an amateur, in 1989 he coached Kastoria ( 2nd Division) until 1992. Nikos Goumas Stadium ( el, Στάδιο Νίκος Γκούμας) was a multi-purpose stadium in Nea Filadelfeia, a northwestern suburb of Athens, Greece. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of AEK Athens F.C. It is now replaced by Agia Sophia Stadium built at the same site. Fernando Manuel Fernandes da Costa Santos (born 10 October 1954) is a Portuguese professional football manager and former player who played as a defender. Panachaiki G.E. (Greek: Παναχαϊκή Γυμναστική Ένωση, ''Panachaiki Gymnastiki Enosi'', "Pan- Achaean Gymnastic Union") is a Greek multi-sport club based in the city of Patras, Greece.
