The Taipei Arena () is a multi-purpose stadium located in Songshan, Taipei, Taiwan, and it is operated by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC). Built in 2005, the large multi-purpose stadium can accommodate major international sport events such as ice skating, ice hockey, gymnastics, handball, basketball, tennis, badminton, table tennis, indoor soccer, boxing, judo, karate, taekwondo and wrestling. Building It was designed by Archasia, an architectural firm based in Taipei, and Populous, a Kansas City, Missouri, design and architectural firm specializing in sports venues. Wei Li-an (; born 5 March 1987), known professionally as WeiBird, is a Taiwanese Mandopop and folk-rock singer-songwriter. He has released six studio albums, one live album and two EPs. Wei won the Golden Melody Award for Best New Singer in 2011 and Best Composer in 2015. Suming Rupi (born 17 July 1978) is a Taiwanese Indigenous musician, singer, songwriter and actor. He is a member of the "Lacienci" (拉千禧) age set (a form of social organization that is characteristic of 'Amis) of 'Atolan. Life and career Suming Rupi is a member of the 'Atolan community of the Amis (also known as "Pangcah") people, who live in Taitung and Hualien Counties. Rupi is his grandmother's given name. He often only goes by his given name "Suming". He is also known as Chiang Sheng-min, his Chinese name. Chthonic (sometimes typeset ChthoniC or ChThoniC) is a Taiwanese heavy metal band, formed in 1995 in Taipei. They have been called "the Black Sabbath of Asia."
