25th World Scout Jamboree
The 25th World Scout Jamboree will be held August 1–12, 2023 at Saemangeum, North Jeolla, South Korea, hosted by Korea Scout Association with the theme, "Draw Your Dream". About 30,000 to 50,000 participants are expected to attend. The theme, "Draw your Dream!" expresses the desire of Scout Movement members to transform the 25th World Scout Jamboree into their own festival and grow dreams through the event. Saemangeum, an estuarine tidal flat on the coast of the Yellow Sea in South Korea, is being shaped into a spacious jamboree area, giving young Scouts from around the world an opportunity to pursue their hopes and dreams throughout the Jamboree. Saemangeum
Saemangeum is an estuarine tidal flat on the coast of the Yellow Sea in South Korea. It was dammed by the government of South Korea's Saemangeum Seawall Project, completed on April 27, 2010, after a long fight between the government and environmental activists, and is scheduled to be converted into either agricultural or industrial land. Prior to 2010, it had played an important role as a habitat for migratory birds. The completion of this seawall is likely to be a major contributor to the decline of many species. Around 400,000 shorebirds depended on the Saemangeum estuarine as an important feeding ground on the 24,000 km migration between Asia and Alaska and Russia, including the two endangered waders Nordmann's greenshank and spoon-billed sandpiper (each species with fewer than a thousand surviving birds). 12th World Scout Jamboree
The 12th World Scout Jamboree was held July 31 to August 9, 1967, and was hosted by the United States at Farragut State Park, in the Rocky Mountains of Idaho. It was the second World Scout Jamboree to take place in North America. History With its theme ''For Friendship'', the 12th World Jamboree attracted 12,011 Scouts from 105 countries. The latter included Scouts from Somalia, and 1,300 representatives from the United Kingdom, the largest Scouting contingent from outside North America. For the British Scouts, dressed in their new uniforms, it was a highlight to their Diamond Jubilee Year. Other countries represented included Canada, France, Indonesia, Jamaica, the Philippines, and Sweden. Bibimbap
Bibimbap * ( , from Korean , literally "mixed rice"), sometimes romanized as bi bim bap or bi bim bop, is a Korean rice dish. The term "bibim" means "mixing" and "bap" refers to cooked rice. ''Bibimbap'' is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with ''namul'' (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) or kimchi (traditional fermented vegetables) and ''gochujang'' (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or ''doenjang'' (a fermented soybean paste). A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The hot dish is stirred together thoroughly just before eating. K-pop

The 18th World Scout Jamboree (Dutch: ''18e Wereldjamboree'') was held August 1 to 11, 1995 and was hosted by the Netherlands on a polder near Biddinghuizen, Dronten community, Flevoland. 28,960 Scouts and staff members from 166 countries and territories participated in the event, the largest representation of countries to date, including 34 countries where Scouting was being born or reborn. 5th World Scout Jamboree
The 5th World Scout Jamboree (Dutch: ''5e Wereldjamboree'') was the World Scout Jamboree where 81-year-old Robert Baden-Powell gave his farewell. Organizational details The Jamboree in Vogelenzang, Bloemendaal in the Netherlands was opened on July 31, 1937, by Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, with 28,750 Scouts from 54 countries attending. Given 650 water taps and 120 showers, it was considered the cleanest jamboree to date. The main camp was at Vogelenzang, the Sea Scout camp was at Bennebroek, now both part of the municipality Bloemendaal. The host site was on the farm of the Vertegaal family. 15th World Scout Jamboree
The 15th World Scout Jamboree was held in 1983 and was hosted by Canada at Kananaskis, Alberta, an area of Provincial Park 4,000 feet in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, 80 miles west of Calgary, Alberta. ''The Spirit Lives On'' was the theme of the jamboree, with a total attendance of over 15,000 Scouts from over 100 countries. The name of the Jamboree refers to the idea that Scouting, and its spirit of international brotherhood, could overcome difficulties such as those which caused the cancellation of the 1979 Jamboree four years earlier.
