The 241st Independent Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces ( uk, 241-ша окрема бригада територіальної оборони) is a military formation of the Territorial Defense Forces (Ukraine), Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine in Kyiv. It is part of Operational Command North. History Formation On 14 April 2022 the brigade was formed in Kyiv. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi issued a decree that transformed 241st Territorial Defense Battalion of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade (Ukraine), 112th Kyiv City Defense Brigade into the headquarters of new brigade. Battalions 130, 204, 205, 206, 207 came from 112th Kyiv City Defense Brigade which grew too large, numbering at least 11 battalions. 243rd Battalion came from 114th Territorial Defense Brigade (Ukraine), 114th Kyiv Oblast Defense Brigade. Battle Of Sievierodonetsk (2022)
The Battle of Sievierodonetsk was a military engagement in the wider battle of Donbas of the Eastern Ukraine offensive during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. The city of Sievierodonetsk acted as the administrative center of Luhansk Oblast before the invasion. By May 2022, Sievierodonetsk and the neighbouring city of Lysychansk were the only notable parts of the oblast that remained under Ukrainian control. By 14 June 2022, Russian forces gained control of most of the city and cut off all escape routes. The Battle of Bakhmut is an ongoing series of military engagements in and near the city of Bakhmut between Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian Armed Forces during the larger battle for Donbas. The Kyiv offensive was a theater in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. It involved attacks by Russia across the Russo-Ukrainian and Belarusian–Ukrainian borders beginning on 24 February 2022 for the control of Kyiv and its surrounding areas. Russian operations around Kyiv saw the occupation of parts of neighbouring Zhytomyr Oblast as well.
