This is a list of special forces units in Iranian Armed Forces and police. The name can refer to members of regular units who have successfully completed Commando or Ranger training courses and marines trained as Frogman, or the hand-selected and highly trained members serving in special forces. Hassan Abshenasan
Hassan Abshenasan ( fa, حسن آبشناسان) was one of the commanders of the Ground Forces of Islamic Republic of Iran Army who was killed in the Iran–Iraq war. Biography Hassan Abshenasan was born in a religious family on 1936 in Nazi Abad district of Tehran. He spent his primary school in Tehran and graduated from high school in 1957. Then he entered military university and three years later graduated with Second Lieutenant. Hassan passed primary and advanced of military in Shiraz province and spent special courses in AJA University of Command and Staff, Tehran. The 1979 Kurdish rebellion in Iran is an event which erupted in mid-March 1979, two months after the completion of the Iranian Revolution. A division is a large military unit or Formation (military), formation, usually consisting of between 6,000 and 25,000 soldiers. In most armies, a division is composed of several regiments or brigades; in turn, several divisions typically make up a corps. Historically, the division has been the default combined arms unit capable of independent Military tactics, operations. Smaller combined arms units, such as the American regimental combat team (RCT) during World War II, were used when conditions favored them. Iraqi Army
The Iraqi Ground Forces (Arabic: القوات البرية العراقية), or the Iraqi Army (Arabic: الجيش العراقي), is the ground force component of the Iraqi Armed Forces. It was known as the Royal Iraqi Army up until the coup of July 1958.
