2024–25 I-League 3 is the 2nd season of the I-League 3 since its establishment in 2023. It's the national fourth tier of the Indian football league system. The list consisted of 2 teams relegated from 2023–24 I-League 2, 2 teams retained from 2023–24 I-League 3 play-off, and 16 teams nominated by state FAs. On 27 July 2024, 4 more teams were approved by the AIFF as a "one-time exception." Later, Southern Sporting Union from Imphal was added to the list having topped the 2023-24 Manipur Premier League. I-League 3, or 3rd Division League, is a men's professional football league in India. It forms the fourth tier of the Indian football league system, below the I-League 2 and above the State leagues. History For the first time, the AIFF introduced Qualifiers for I-League 2 in the 2022–23 season. On 13 June 2023, the AIFF league committee announced introducing a new league below the I-League 2, where champions of State leagues and nominated clubs will play. State FAs have to nominate a team before July 31. The AIFF wants to create a competitive pyramid with a concrete progression pathway, aimed to allow even the smallest of clubs to get promoted to the higher divisions. Sports Odisha
Sports Odisha is an Indian institutional multisports club based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is owned by Government of Odisha and most of the club's players are selected from the Odisha State Sports Hostel scheme, due to which the team also competes as Odisha Sports Hostel. The men's team competes in the FAO League at the state tier and has qualified for the I-League 3 in the 2023–24 season. Chanmari Football Club is an Indian football club based in Aizawl, Mizoram. They are currently competing in Mizoram Premier League, the top level of football in the state of Mizoram. They had also participated in national level competition, 2015 I-League 2nd Division. Their futsal section participates at Futsal Club Championship. It currently competes in CFL 1st Division which is the third tier football league in the state of West Bengal.
