Diamond Harbour FC
Diamond Harbour Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Diamond Harbour, West Bengal. It currently competes in CFL 1st Division which is the third tier football league in the state of West Bengal. History TMC politician and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee launched the DHFC in 2022. The IFA allowed DHFC to participate in ''CFL First Division'', third tier of Calcutta Football League. The club then appointed former Mohun Bagan and Kerala Blasters head coach Kibu Vicuña for the upcoming league season. In December 2022, Vicuña left the club and taking charge of another city-based club Mohammedan Sporting. Maheshtala () is a city and a municipality of the South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is situated on the eastern banks of the Hooghly River. Abhra Mondal ( bn, অভ্র মন্ডল; born 14 July 1986) is an Indian goalkeeper coach and former footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. Career East Bengal Mondal signed for East Bengal FC in 2005 and ever since Mondal has mostly been used in the Federation Cup matches. After a spending two years at Pune, Mondal returned to East Bengal for the 2013-14 season. Kibu Vicuña
José Antonio Vicuña Ochandorena (born 20 November 1971), commonly known as Kibu Vicuña, is a Spanish professional football manager. He is the current manager of the club Diamond Harbour. Coaching career Early career After playing for the University of Navarra while coaching the youth squads, Vicuña was named in charge of CA Osasuna's youth squads in 2002. He left the club in 2005 to take over Tercera División side CD River Ega, where he coached for two years. Abhishek Banerjee is an Indian politician. He is a member of the All India Trinamool Congress and he is currently serving as a Member of Parliament, Diamond Harbour (Lok Sabha constituency), South 24 Parganas, West Bengal since 2014. Banerjee has also been the National President of All India Trinamool Youth Congress since 2011, the youth wing of the All India Trinamool Congress, currently in power in the Indian state of West Bengal.
