The 2024–25 season is the 105th season in the history of the Cagliari Calcio, and it will also be the second consecutive season in Serie A. In addition to the domestic league, the team is scheduled to participate in the Coppa Italia. On 5 July 2024, Davide Nicola was announced as the team's coach. Davide Nicola
Davide Nicola (born 5 March 1973) is an Italian professional football manager and former player. He was most recently head coach of Serie A club Salernitana. Club career Nicola was born in Luserna San Giovanni. During his time in Genoa C.F.C. he was noted for kissing a policewoman on the sideline after a goal. He also helped the club to lift the 1996 Anglo-Italian Cup. In the Serie B 2005–06 playoffs he scored a goal that gave his Torino F.C. a promotion to Serie A. In the 2006–07 season of Serie B his good play for Spezia Calcio in the last few games contributed to Spezia avoiding relegation. He only played in the Serie A for one season in the 2004–05 season (15 games for A.C. Siena). Nikola Krstović ( cnr-Cyrl, Никола Крстовић; born 5 April 2000) is a Montenegrin professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Lecce and the Montenegro national team. Unione Sportiva Lecce, commonly referred to as Lecce (), is an Italian football club based in Lecce, Apulia. Patrick Cutrone (; born 3 January 1998) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Como. Club career AC Milan Cutrone was born in Como and began to play football at a young age. In 2005, the 7-year old Cutrone started his youth career at the local team GS Parediense. Roberto Piccoli (born 27 January 2001) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Lecce, on loan from Atalanta. Club career Youth Piccoli began playing football at the age of 10 for Tritium Calcio, which plays in the fourth division of Italian football.
