2024 Skate America
The 2024 Skate America will be the first event of the 2024–25 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating: a senior-level international invitational competition series. It will be held at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, from October 18–20. Medals will be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters will earn points toward qualifying for the 2024–25 Grand Prix Final. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the 1908 Summer Olympics, London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program (figure skating), short program and the free skating program. Koshiro Shimada
is a Japanese figure skater. He is the 2022 Japanese national silver medalist, 2019 Bavarian Open senior champion and the 2018–19 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist. Yuna Aoki ( ja, 青木祐奈 born 10 January 2002) is a Japanese competitive figure skater. She is the 2019 Bavarian Open silver medalist, the 2023 Triglav Trophy silver medalist, and the 2024 Challenge Cup silver medalist. François Pitot (born 4 January 2005) is a French figure skater. He is a two-time French national bronze medalist. Léa Serna (born 31 October 1999) is a French figure skater. She is the 2023 CS Budapest Trophy silver medalist, a two-time International Cup of Nice champion, and a three-time French national champion (2021–23). Career Serna began learning to skate in 2007. Nina Pinzarrone
Nina Pinzarrone (born 24 November 2006) is a Belgian figure skater. She is the 2024 European bronze medalist and a two-time ISU Grand Prix medalist, one of only two Belgian women to have medaled at those events.
