2024 Seattle Mariners Season
The 2024 Seattle Mariners season is the 48th season in franchise history. The Mariners are playing their 25th full season (26th overall) at T-Mobile Park, their home ballpark in Seattle, Washington. The season opened on March 28 at home against the Boston Red Sox and is scheduled to end on September 29 at home against the Oakland Athletics. On August 22, the Mariners dismissed Scott Servais as manager following struggles by the team. On the same day, the team appointed former catcher Dan Wilson as their new manager. American League West
The American League West is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. The division has five teams as of the 2013 season, but had four teams from 1994 to 2012, and had as many as seven teams before the 1994 realignment. Although its teams currently only reside along the West Coast of the United States, west coast and in Texas, historically the division has had teams as far east as Chicago. From 1998 (when the NL West expanded to five teams) to 2012, the AL West was the only MLB division with four teams. The current champion of this division is the Houston Astros. Jackson Kowar
Jackson Alexander Kowar (born October 4, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Kowar was born and raised in Weddington, North Carolina. He attended Charlotte Christian School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He originally signed to play college baseball for Clemson University as a sophomore, but was granted his release following a coaching change. As a senior, he compiled a 10-1 record and 0.20 ERA with 118 strikeouts in 71 innings. He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 40th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft but did not sign and instead enrolled at the University of Florida. Players Prelander Berroa Prelander Berroa (born April 18, 2000) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization. Berroa signed with the Minnesota Twins as an international free agent in July 2016. He made his professional debut in 2017 with the Dominican Summer League Twins. Eugenio Alejandro Suárez (born July 18, 1991) is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). Isaiah Lyn Campbell (born August 15, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB).
