2024 Mexican Local Elections
The 2024 Mexican local elections were held on 2 June 2024, during which voters elected eight governors for six-year terms, the Head of Government of Mexico City for a six-year term, deputies for thirty-one state congresses, and officials for 1,580 municipalities. These elections took place concurrently with the country's general election. Prior to the elections, the country's two main coalitions, ''Juntos Hacemos Historia'' and '' Va por México'', were succeeded by '' Sigamos Haciendo Historia'' and '' Fuerza y Corazón por México'', which constituted the same parties as their predecessors. Of the governorships up for election, ''Sigamos Haciendo Historia'' currently holds six, ''Fuerza y Corazón por México'' holds two, and Citizens' Movement – which is participating without coalition support – holds one. The Head of Government ( es, Jefe de Gobierno) wields the executive power in Mexico City. The Head of Government serves a six-year term, running concurrently with that of the President of the Republic. Mexico City, or CDMX, is the seat of national executive, legislative, and judicial power, and is largely contiguous with the core of the sprawling Mexico City conurbation. Churumuco
Churumuco is a municipality located in the southeastern part of the Mexican state of Michoacán. The municipality has an area of 1,119.44 square kilometres (1.90% of the surface of the state) and is bordered to the north by the municipality of La Huacana, to the northeast by Turicato, to the south by the state of Guerrero, to the southwest by Huetamo, and to the west by Arteaga. Izúcar de Matamoros is a city in Izúcar de Matamoros Municipality located in the southwestern part of the Mexican state of Puebla. The city serves as the municipal seat of the municipality. Mante, formally Ciudad Mante, is a city in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. The city is the municipal seat of El Mante municipality in extreme southern Tamaulipas, and lies in the northwestern portion of the municipality.
