Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup
The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is a competition for rhythmic gymnastics sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the few tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the World Championships (including the Junior World Championships), the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympics, and the rhythmic gymnastics events at the World Games. The World Cup series should not be confused with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix series, which is neither officially organized nor promoted by FIG. History In 1983, FIG decided to hold a World Cup event in rhythmic gymnastics. The event was staged as an alternative to the World Championships, a tournament held, at the time, every four years. Sofia Raffaeli (born 19 January 2004) is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2022 World All-around, hoop, ball, ribbon and team champion, as well as the 2022 European hoop and clubs champion. She is also the 2019 Junior World silver medalist with rope and clubs. She is the first Italian individual rhythmic gymnast to win a gold medal at the World Championships, European Championships and World Games, and to win four All-around gold medals in the FIG World Cup circuit. Vera Tugolukova (born 16 September 2008) is a Russian-born Rhythmic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnast who has competed for Cyprus in international competitions since 2023. Nataliya Usova (born 9 June 2008) is an Uzbek rhythmic gymnast. She is a multiple Asian medalist. Career Junior In December 2021, she was chosen to represent Uzbekistan in the first edition of the experimental competition organized by Alina Kabaeva "Divine Grace" where gymnasts compete under the scoring code 2000-2004 and 2022-2024. Ekaterina Olegovna Vedeneeva (russian: Екатерина Олеговна Веденеева; ; born 23 June 1994) is a Russian individual rhythmic gymnast competing for Slovenia since 2018. Margarita Kolosov (born 11 March 2004 in Potsdam, Germany) is a German rhythmic gymnast. Kolosov has been training at the federal base in Fellbach with Yuliya Raskina since 2016. Wang Zilu (; born 18 June 2003) is a Chinese rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2023 Asian Championships all-around, hoop, and team bronze medalist and a 2022 Asian Games team bronze medalist.
