2024 Copa Do Nordeste Qualification
The 2024 Copa do Nordeste qualification (officially the Eliminatória da Copa do Nordeste 2024) was the qualifying tournament of the 2024 Copa do Nordeste. It was played from 6 to 14 January 2024. Sixteen teams competed to decide four places in the Copa do Nordeste. Format The teams played a single-elimination tournament with the following rules: *The tournament was played on a single-leg basis, with the higher-seeded team hosting the leg. ** If tied, the penalty shoot-out was used to determine the winners. *Extra time would not be played and away goals rule The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaker, tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. 2024 Copa Do Nordeste
The 2024 Copa do Nordeste (officially the Copa do Nordeste Betnacional 2024 for sponsorship reasons) is the 21st edition of the main football tournament featuring teams from the Brazilian Northeast Region. The competition features 16 clubs, with Bahia, Ceará and Pernambuco having two seeds each, and Alagoas, Maranhão, Paraíba, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe with one seed each. Four teams were decided by a qualifying tournament (Eliminatória da Copa do Nordeste 2024). The Copa do Nordeste began on 3 February and will end on 9 June 2024. Ceará are the defending champions. Format In this season, 12 teams (9 state league champions and best placed teams in the 2023 CBF ranking from Ceará, Bahia and Pernambuco) gained direct entries into the group stage while the other four berths were decided by the Eliminatória da Copa do Nordeste. 2023 Campeonato Paraibano
The 2023 Campeonato Paraibano de Futebol was the 113th edition of Paraíba's top professional football league. The competition started on 7 January 2023 and finished on 8 April 2023. Treze were declared champions after defeating Sousa in the final. Format The format of the competition was amended from the previous season, and featured a group stage where each of the ten teams faced each other once. The top four proceeded to a knockout semi-final and final, each over two legs. The bottom two teams in the group stage were relegated to the second division. Due to each team having nine games in the group stage, some had to have 5 home games and others had to have 4 home games, which was decided by drawing of lots.
