2024 Charlotte Edwards Cup
The 2024 Charlotte Edwards Cup was the fourth edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup, an English women's cricket Twenty20 domestic competition, which took place between 18 May and 22 June 2024. It featured eight teams playing in a round-robin group stage, followed by a Finals Day. Southern Vipers were the defending champions. The tournament ran alongside the 2024 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. The Blaze won the tournament, defeating South East Stars in the final. Format Teams played ten matches in the group stage, playing four teams once and three teams twice. The top four in the group advanced to Finals Day, which was played at the County Ground, Derby. 24 group stage matches were played as double-headers with matches from the men's T20 Blast. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the Sports governing body, national governing body of cricket in England and Wales. Shropshire Women Cricket Team
The Shropshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Shropshire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Ellesmere College Ground, Ellesmere and are captained by Lara Jones. Shropshire withdrew from the Women's County Championship after the 2018 season, have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the West Midlands regional side Central Sparks. History Shropshire Women joined the Women's County Championship in 2008, finishing bottom of Division 5 Midlands in their first season. Shropshire went on to consistently play in the bottom tiers of the Championship, but did win Division 4 South & West in 2016. The Sussex Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English Historic counties of England, historic county of Sussex. The Hampshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Hampshire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Totton and Eling CC and the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground. They are captained by Emily Windsor. The Lancashire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Lancashire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Beaconsfield Road, Widnes. They are coached by Chris Chambers and captained by Eleanor Threlkeld.
