2024 Bolivarian Games
The 2024 Bolivarian Games, officially 2024 Bicentennial Bolivarian Games ( es, Juegos Bolivarianos del Bicentenario 2024), will be the 1st edition of the multi-sport event meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, that are not contested in the Olympic Games, governed by the Organización Deportiva Bolivariana (ODEBO). They will be held in Ayacucho, Peru from 29 November to 9 December 2024 in commemoration of the bicentennial of Battle of Ayacucho. The Games were originally planned to be held between 6 and 15 December 2024. However, the Government of Peru set the dates of the event from 29 November to 9 December 2024, with the closing day coinciding with the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Ayacucho. Ayacucho
Ayacucho (, qu, Ayak'uchu) is the capital city of Ayacucho Region and of Huamanga Province, Ayacucho Region, Peru. During the Inca Empire and Viceroyalty of Peru periods the city was known by the name of Huamanga (Quechua: Wamanga), and it continues to be the alternative name of the city. The city's name was officially changed to Ayacucho after a major victory of the revolutionary army led by Bolívar's lieutenants against the royalists. Andina is a news agency owned by the Peruvian government, covering Latin America and the world at large. It was founded in 1981, and its current editor-in-chief is Félix Paz Quiroz. History Andina was founded on June 12, 1981, during the second presidency of Fernando Belaúnde Terry. Rafting
Rafting and whitewater rafting are recreational outdoor activities which use an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other body of water. This is often done on whitewater or different degrees of rough water. Dealing with risk is often a part of the experience. Whitewater Slalom
Canoe slalom (previously known as whitewater slalom) is a competitive sport with the aim to navigate a decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging downstream or upstream gates on river rapids in the fastest time possible. Ayacucho () is a department and region of Peru, located in the south-central Andes of the country. Its capital is the city of Ayacucho. The region was one of the hardest hit in the 1980s during the guerrilla war waged by Shining Path known as the internal conflict in Peru. Pedro Castillo
José Pedro Castillo Terrones (; born 19 October 1969) is a Peruvian politician, former elementary school teacher, and union leader who served as the president of Peru, President of Peru from 28 July 2021 to 7 December 2022.
