2023–24 Southeastern Louisiana Lions Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Southeastern Louisiana Lions basketball team represented Southeastern Louisiana University in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Lions, led by fifth-year head coach David Kiefer, played their home games at the University Center in Hammond, Louisiana as members of the Southland Conference. Previous season The Lions finished the 2022–23 season 18–14 overall and 12–6 in Southland Conference play to finish third in conference. They lost against New Orleans in the second round. Preseason polls Southland Conference Poll The Southland Conference released its preseason poll on October 10, 2023. Receiving 6 first place votes and 144 votes overall, the Lions were picked to finish first in the conference. The NSU University School, commonly known as University School or simply U-School, is a fully accredited, independent, college preparatory school in Davie, Florida, that serves grades pre-K through grade 12. East Lake High School is a public high school serving students from grades 9–12 located in Tarpon Springs, Florida, and is part of the Pinellas County Schools. It has a 99% graduation rate which ranks it among the most graduating schools in the state of Florida. Oldsmar, Florida
Oldsmar is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 13,591. The Oldsmar name dates to April 12, 1916 when automobile pioneer Ransom E. Olds purchased of land by the northern part of Tampa Bay to establish "R. E. Olds-on-the-Bay". The name was later changed to Oldsmar, then to "Tampa Shores" in 1927, and finally back to Oldsmar in 1937. Ransom Olds named some of the original streets himself, such as Gim Gong Road for Lue Gim Gong. Oldsmar includes several parks along Tampa Bay, historic bungalows, a downtown, and a commercial area along West Hillsborough Avenue. Ponchatoula is the second-largest city in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. The population was 6,559 at the 2010 census and 7,545 at the time of the 2020 population estimates program. Northshore High School in Slidell, Louisiana, United States, serves a population of approximately 14,000 in its district. Northshore, which serves small portions of northern and eastern Slidell, is a part of the St. Tammany Parish Public Schools.
