2023–24 Liga Portugal 2
The 2023–24 Liga Portugal 2 (also known as Liga Portugal SABSEG for sponsorship reasons) is the 34th season of Portuguese football's second-tier league and the fourth season under the current Liga Portugal 2 title. A total of 18 teams are competing in this division, including reserve sides from top-flight Liga Portugal teams. Teams A total of 18 teams contest the league. Liga Portugal 2
The Liga Portugal 2 (), also known as Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system. At the end of each season, the two top-finishing teams are promoted to the top-tier Primeira Liga and the two lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the third-tier league. Starting with the 2021–22 season, relegated teams will no longer compete in the Campeonato de Portugal, which will become the fourth tier, but in a newly created third-level competition named Liga 3 (League 3). The division began in 1990 as the Segunda Divisão de Honra (Second Division of Honour), superseding the Segunda Divisão (Segunda Divisão) as the second tier of Portuguese football. Estádio Marcolino De Castro
Estadio Marcolino de Castro is a multi-use stadium in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home of Segunda Liga club CD Feirense. The stadium is able to hold 5,600 people. The stadium was built and opened in 1962. The stadium's first ever match was between the home side and Beira-Mar which ended 0-0. Benfica Campus (formerly Caixa Futebol Campus), also known as , is the training ground and youth academy of Portuguese football club Benfica. Having nine pitches (three of synthetic turf), including the main one with 2,721 seats – Benfica B's home ground – the training centre is used by Benfica's first-team, the reserves, and youth levels such as the under-19s. Located in Seixal, Benfica Campus opened on 22 September 2006 and was sponsored by Caixa Geral de Depósitos until September 2019. The Estádio do Restelo is a multi-purpose stadium in Lisbon, Portugal. The stadium has a capacity of 19,856 people and was built in 1956, in an old stone quarry. Estádio do CD das Aves is a multi-use stadium in Vila das Aves, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of previous C.D. Aves until 2021 and currently AVS Futebol SAD from 2023. The stadium holds 8,560 people and was built in 1981.
