2023 US Open – Mixed Doubles
Anna Danilina and Harri Heliövaara defeated Jessica Pegula and Austin Krajicek in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2023 US Open. Danilina became the first Kazakhstani Major mixed doubles champion, and Heliövaara became the first Finnish US Open mixed doubles champion. Storm Hunter and John Peers were the defending champions, but lost in the first round to Barbora Strýcová and Santiago González. Strýcová, a former world No. 1 in doubles, played her final professional match in the quarterfinals. Ivan Dodig was vying to complete the career Grand Slam, but lost in the first round. Anna Danilina
Anna Sergeyevna Danilina (russian: Анна Сергеевна Данилина; born 20 August 1995) is a Russian-born Kazakh tennis player. She has been ranked as high as No. 11 in doubles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). In singles, she reached a career-high ranking of 269. Danilina represented her nation of birth, Russia, until March 2011, when she switched allegiances to represent Kazakhstan. As a junior, she reached a combined world ranking of No. 3 in February 2013. Since turning professional, Danilina has won three WTA doubles titles. She has also won one singles title and 25 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Marcelo Arévalo González (; born October 17, 1990) is a Salvadoran professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 5 in doubles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he first achieved on 14 November 2022. Together with his career-high singles ranking of world No. 139, attained in April 2018, Arévalo is the highest-ranked player, male or female, across both disciplines in Salvadoran tennis history.
