2023 San Diego State Aztecs Football Team
The 2023 San Diego State Aztecs football team represented San Diego State University as a member of the Mountain West Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by head coach Brady Hoke, who coached his sixth season with the team. The Aztecs played their home games at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. On November 13, 2023, Hoke announced that he would retire at the end of the regular season. Hoke finished 40–32 (25–21 conference) in four seasons. Mountain West Conference
The Mountain West Conference (MW) is one of the collegiate athletic conferences affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) (formerly I-A). The MW officially began operations on January 4, 1999. Geographically, the MW covers a broad expanse of the Western United States, with member schools located in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Craig Thompson has served as Commissioner of the MW since October 15, 1998; Gloria Nevarez will take over the post on January 1, 2023 after Thompson's retirement. Falcon Stadium
Falcon Stadium is an outdoor football stadium in the western United States, on the campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is the home field of the Air Force Falcons of the Mountain West Conference, and also holds the academy's graduation ceremonies each spring. Canvas Stadium, officially Sonny Lubick Field at Canvas Stadium, is an outdoor college football stadium in the western United States, located on the campus of Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, Colorado.
