The 2023 Norwegian Football Cup was the 117th season of the Norwegian annual knock-out football tournament. It started on 22 May 2023 and finished on 9 December 2023. SK Brann
Sportsklubben Brann (commonly known as Brann, and less often as SK Brann) is a Norwegian professional football club, founded 26 September 1908, from Bergen. Brann had been in the Eliteserien, Norway's Premier Division of Football, since 1987, bar one season spent in the 1. divisjon in 2015, but they were relegated again in 2021. Lyse Abbey or Saint Mary's Abbey, Lyse ( no, Lyse kloster, Lyse Mariakloster) is a now-ruined Cistercian monastery in Bjørnafjorden Municipality in Vestland county in south-western Norway. The name "Lyse" is derived from Lysefjorden near which the building stood. The abbey lies at the southern base of the Lyshornet mountain. Pre-Reformation Lyse Abbey was founded in 1146 by Sigurd, Bishop of the Ancient Diocese of Bergen, on farmland that he owned, as the Christianisation of Norway was nearing completion. The first monks were brought from Fountains Abbey in Yorkshire, England. This was the first Cistercian monastery in Norway and was modelled on others built in England and France. Alexander Dang (born 12 February 1990) is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a forward for Lysekloster IL. Career Born in Bergen, Norway, Dang began his career with club Vadmyra and Hovding before joining Sotra SK. In 2015 season, he scored 44 goals for Sotra and finish the season as the top scorer in the Norwegian Third Division. After just over two year with Sotra, Dang signed for Norwegian Second Division club Nest-Sotra. Bossekop Ungdomslag is a Norwegian sports club from Bossekop, Alta, Finnmark. It has sections for association football, team handball, speed skating and Nordic skiing. Alta Idrettsforening is a sports club from Alta, Norway. The club is most known for its association football department, which played in the 1. divisjon until 2014. Alta currently plays in 2. divisjon, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system.
