2023 NHL Entry Draft
The 2023 NHL Entry Draft will be the 61st NHL Entry Draft. The draft is expected to be held on June 28–29, 2023, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Eligibility Ice hockey players born between January 1, 2003, and September 15, 2005, are eligible for selection in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Additionally, un-drafted, non-North American players born in 2002 are eligible for the draft; and those players who were drafted in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, but not signed by an NHL team and who were born after June 30, 2003, are also eligible to re-enter the draft. Draft lottery Beginning with the 2014–15 NHL season the NHL changed the weighting system that was used in previous years. Under the new system the odds of winning the draft lottery for the four lowest finishing teams in the league decreased, while the odds for the other non-playoff teams increased. Bridgestone Arena (originally Nashville Arena, and formerly Gaylord Entertainment Center and Sommet Center) is a multi-purpose venue in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Completed in 1996, it is the home of the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League. Matvei Andreyevich Michkov (russian: Матвей Андреевич Мичков; born 9 December 2004) is a Russian professional ice hockey centre currently playing for HC Sochi of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), on loan from fellow KHL club, SKA Saint Petersburg. He made his KHL debut with SKA in 2021 and played for them and their affiliates until 2022. Lenni Hämeenaho (, born 7 November 2004) is a Finnish professional ice hockey right wing who currently plays for Porin Ässät of the Finnish SM-liiga. He was selected in the 2nd round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, 58th overall by the New Jersey Devils.
