2023 Malaysia M4 League
The 2023 Malaysia M4 League ( ms, Liga M4 Malaysia), also known as the al-Ikhsan Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the second season of the Malaysia M4 League, currently the third tier football league in the Malaysian football league system. This is the first season where the league is held as a single division. The season started on the 3rd of June. Format The tournament is played as follows: *League level: 15 teams are divided into three zones, namely Zone 1 (6 teams), Zone 2 (5 teams) and Zone 3 (4 teams), each drawn from the Central/South, East and Borneo regions. **Round 1 Divided into three zones, each team will play at home and away to determine the position in the group. The top two teams in each zone, including third team in Zones 1 & 2, will advance to the knockout stage. *Knockout stage: The knockout stage is the match to determine the winner. UiTM United Football Club is a Malaysian professional association football, football club based in Shah Alam, Selangor. The club currently played in the Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League. Founded in 2008, their home ground is 10,000-seater UiTM Stadium. The club is widely known as ''The Lion Troops''. 2022 Malaysia M3 League
The 2022 Malaysia M3 League is the 4th season of Malaysia M3 League the third-tier semi-professional football league in Malaysia since its establishment in 2019. The season started on 7 March and concluded on 17 November 2022. Establishment and format This new season saw the format restructuring by the AFL. On 19 January 2020, the AFL has announced the format changes for the Malaysia M3 League and Malaysia M4 League in preparation for the transition of the amateur team to semi-professionals by 2021. The league will kick-off with 20 teams and to be split into 2 groups, an increase of 6 teams compared to 14 teams in the previous edition. The 2023 Malaysia Super League ( ms, Liga Super Malaysia 2023), is the 20th season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia for association football clubs since its establishment in 2004, and the 42nd season of top-flight Malaysia football overall. It is the first season after restructuring, with 18 teams (instead of 12 previously) featuring in the 2023 season. However, MFL announced that next season there will be only 16 teams as they rejected both Sarawak United and Melaka United due to failed licensing appeal. The league shrunk to 15 teams after Petaling Jaya City officially withdrawn from the league due to the expansion of the league and increased foreign player quota, which are diverted from the club's main vision.
