UiTM United Football Club is a Malaysian professional association football, football club based in Shah Alam, Selangor. The club currently played in the Malaysia A1 Semi-Pro League. Founded in 2008, their home ground is 10,000-seater UiTM Stadium. The club is widely known as ''The Lion Troops''. The team is under the jurisdiction of Universiti Teknologi MARA, a Malaysian public university based in Shah Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor. History Founded in 2008, UiTM FC made club debut into Malaysian football by joining the third-tier league Malaysia FAM League in 2009. The club finishes third place in Liga FAM, 2012 Malaysia FAM League and was promoted to the second-tier league, Malaysia Premier League in 2013 to replace USM FC, who were withdrawing from Malaysia Premier League due to financial difficulties. UiTM Stadium
Stadium UiTM is a stadium located at Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. Its capacity is 10,000. The stadium was built for Universiti Teknologi MARA and the UiTM Football Club. SPA FC and Selangor F.C. also had used the stadium as their interim home ground. It can also be used as a rugby pitch. Activities organized by the university are sometimes held in the stadium. UiTM Stadium has once hosted a Malaysia national football team match against Maldives, on 26 November 2009. Malaysia lost the match 0-1. The Malaysia Cup ( ms, Piala Malaysia), formerly known as ''Malaya Cup'', is an annual association football, football tournament in Malaysia, held at the end of the calendar year. The cup was first held in 1921. Despite its prestige and popularity as the nation's oldest cup tournament, it is currently a secondary cup to the Malaysia FA Cup, as Malaysia's slot for continental cup tournament (AFC Cup) is usually allocated to the winner of the Malaysia FA Cup. The Malaysia Super League ( ms, Liga Super Malaysia) is the men's top professional football division of the Malaysian football league system. 2020 Malaysia Super League
The 2020 Malaysia Super League ( ms, Liga Super Malaysia 2020), known as the CIMB Bank Liga Super Malaysia 2020 for sponsorship reasons, was the 17th season of the Malaysia Super League, the top-tier professional football league in Malaysia. Johor Darul Ta'zim were the defending champions, having won their sixth title the previous season. The first transfer window was from 16 January to 15 March 2020. On 13 March 2020, it was announced that the league would be suspended indefinitely, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
