2023 Macau Grand Prix
The 2023 Macau Grand Prix (formally the 70th Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup) was a motor race for Formula Three cars held on the streets of Macau on 19 November 2023. The Macau Grand Prix served as a non-championship round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. The race itself was made up of two races: a ten-lap qualifying race that decided the starting grid for the fifteen-lap main event. The 2023 race was the 70th running of the Macau Grand Prix, the 38th for Formula Three cars and the fifth edition of the FIA F3 World Cup. Background and entry list The Macau Grand Prix is a race considered by drivers as a stepping stone to higher motor racing categories such as Formula One, and is Macau's most prestigious international sporting event. Charlie Wurz (born 2 December 2005) is an Austrian-British racing driver who most recently competed for Prema Racing in the Italian F4 Championship. He is the son of former Formula One driver Alexander Wurz. Racing career Karting Wurz competed in karting series across Europe since 2017. Maxwell Esterson (born 9 October 2002) is an American racing driver and sim-racer who most recently competed in the GB3 Championship with Fortec Motorsports. He also has competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Rodin Carlin. He is also a former Red Bull athlete. Career Sim racing Esterson started his sim racing career on iRacing at the age of 11. Ugo Ugochukwu Orlandi (born April 23, 2007) is an American racing driver of Nigerian and Italian descent. Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport.
