2023 MRF Formula 2000 Season
The 2023 MRF Formula 2000 season was the ninth running of the Formula 2000-level single-seater championship in India previously known as the MRF Challenge. This was the second season of the championship restarted in 2022 without support of the FIA and simply called MRF Formula 2000, with the field consisting of domestic drivers rather than foreign racers competing over the European and Northern American off-season. The season began on 22 September 2023 and was run over three weekends until December 2023. Sandeep Kumar won the championship by three points over Arya Singh. MRF Challenge
MRF Challenge is an open-wheel motorsport formula based in India organized by Madras Motor Sports Club. This was India's first and only FIA FIA is the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (English: International Automobile Federation), the world's governing body for all forms of motor sport where four or more wheels are used. Fia or FIA may also refer to: People * Fia Backst ... approved and inscribed international series. This was promoted as a Winter series where young and upcoming racing drivers could get valuable seat and track time during the off-season months in competitive tracks in Asia. This was supported by MRF Ltd in its entirety and was a unique concept of "Arrive and Drive" which meant that the drivers would not have the hassle of making all arrangements. Sandeep Kumar (racing Driver)
Sandeep Kumar Ambalavanan is an Indian racing driver and attorney by profession. Sandeep has been racing from the age of 14, starting from karting and climbing the ladder into the formula and saloon car racing categories like Volkswagen India Polo R Cup, MRF F1600, JK Formula India, JK LGB F4, Formula Fissme, Formula Swift and Rotax Max Karting Championships. His win in the 2012 National Volkswagen Polo R Cup India Championship earned him a scholarship to race in the 2013 European Scirocco R Cup Championship. In 2020 he became the champion of JK Tyre LGB Formula 4 National Championship, held in Kari Motor Speedway (Chettipalayam), Coimbatore. The Madras International Circuit (MIC, previously known as Madras Motor Race Track and Irungattukottai Race Track) is a permanent motor racing circuit located in Irungattukottai, Chennai, India. 2023 F4 Indian Championship
The 2023 F4 Indian Championship was the inaugural season of the F4 Indian Championship. It was a motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations. Initially, the series was planned to launch in 2022, before being postponed multiple times and then finally rescheduled to 2023. The season commenced on 4 November at the Madras International Circuit and concluded on 17 December at the same circuit.
